Chapter 14

Hope's POV:

   I park in the garage and shut off my car then lean back with a sigh. "Don't worry so much, Hopey. Whatever it is, you know we have your back. No matter what it is," Kate reassured me in a soft tone and I look at her seeing she's giving me a gentle smile.

    I nod finally, "yeah I know you guys do. Thank you." We climbed out of the car and shut our doors before walking into the house through the door that's connecting the house to the garage.

We stop briefly to hand our coats before we head into the living room where the others are sitting down on a couch or in momma and dad's case the love seat. Kate squeezes my arm gently before waking over to the couch and sat down next to Irina.

   "Okay uh," I start to say scratching the back of my head slightly in a nervous habit, "the reason I came back acting weird after Sara and I talked was because uh she-."

   I get cut off by Kate.  "She declared her love for you, huh? I knew it. There's gonna be drama," she says before singing the last sentence in a taunting tone.

   I briefly close my eyes and sigh shakily. "Kate, let her speak," Tanya chastised her quietly and I open my eyes finding Kate giving me a sorry look.

Oh how I kinda wish it was just that. "No she didn't say that. She said her period is late and uh," I clear my throat nervously "shemightbepregnantwithmychild!"

  I rush it out feeling my stomach twist uncomfortably. The others tilt their heads as they try to decipher what I just said.

   All of their eyes widen in shock. "Oh. OH! Yeah that's uh. Oh my," Irina is the first one to break the silence and I wince with a nod.

  "You didn't use a condom? Mija," Momma is next and sighs in disappointment at the end which broke my heart because I never want to be a disappointment.

  I guess the hurt showed on my face because she immediately sped towards me and took me into her arms. "I did use condoms. I always made sure they weren't tampered with before using them. You never know with girls anymore. They can be snakes and want your money by using a baby in the mix," I quickly explain leaning my head on her shoulder.

   Kate makes a noise in agreement. "Okay. All of us should just calm down because if you said you used condoms then maybe this is something different for Sara. She could be a late starter for her period. What else did she say?" She announces in a soft but serious tone.

   At least she's taking this serious which I very appreciate. I pull back a bit from momma to look at the others. "She said she has an appointment at Tuesday to take a text there since she doesn't trust the store ones. I told her I would go with her and if she is pregnant with my child, I will be there for them both," I answer with honesty making the others smile softly at me.

"If she is then you have all of us to help you girls," Tanya softly says with a caring smile and the others agree with her.

  "Thank you. All of you. You think you guys can help me tell my aunts and uncle?" I say with a smile then ask with a bit of hesitation.

Carmen squeezes me gently and plants a kiss on the side of my head. "Of course we will, Mija," she responds in a soft tone.

   All of a sudden the door slams open and our heads jerk towards the doorway where we find my mates and the rest walking in.

Tanya jumped up with a stern look. "What is the meaning of this?" She demands as she walked over with Irina and Kate flanking her.

I pull away from Carmen and look at my mates with a confused look. "What's going on?" I ask worriedly from the look of anger flashing in my mates eyes.
