Neither of them spoke. The silence was overbearing and the ticking of the clock could be clearly heard resonating inside the room. While Thea was a blushing mess, Magus on the other hand was too stunned to speak, he wanted to punch himself to make sure that what happened was real, that the fact that Thea said those three words that he couldn't.

"Thea-"

"Thea are you okay-yeah, you are and I should probably come back later?"

Both of their heads snapped towards Max who now entered the room with an awkward smile on his face. He has a box of donuts on his hand an three cups of coffee. He wasn't wearing his uniform either. He was just in his normal shirt, almost his pyjamas and glasses with an uncomb hair.

"Max! H-How did you get in here?" Thea asked.

"Well, Alex said that you're alone here and since I was out, I figured I should drop by although he did say that Magus was with you" he explained. "I knocked and called you guys a couple of times but you didn't seem to notice so I let myself in"

"Oh, right" Thea stood up. "I-I'll put those in a plate"

She took the box of donut from his hand and Magus felt like he could finally breathe again. Max sat down next to him and for the first time, he felt thankful for having his presence because he couldn't take another minute in that weird atmosphere.

"You okay buddy? Did I really come at a bad time?" Max asked him.

"No, not really" he mumbled. He opened the lid of the coffee and took a big gulp.

"You don't say" Max commented.

Magus decided to ignore him. He didn't really want to have a conversation with him, he's okay with his entrance but now he wishes for him to leave so that he could be alone and have a talk with Thea again about earlier.

"So you staying over?" Max asked.

"Mhm" Magus answered.

"Dibs on Alex's room though" Max smiled. "They still have another room so that would work"

Magus raised an eyebrow at him. "What? I slept over a couple of times even before we met you guys, sometimes Alex sleeps over at mine as well"

This guy is weird. Magus thought.

Thea entered with the plate full of donuts on her hand and when their eyes met she quickly averted her gaze and blushed deep red. Magus mirrored her reaction and Max was looking at them back and forth, he wasn't sure what to do with the situation so he just grabbed his coffee and took a bit of a donut.

"Wanna watch a movie?" Max suggested. "Oh, how about this? '50 first dates'-"

"No!" they both said at the same time, making their blush to a deeper shade.

"Alright, sheesh, no need to shout" Max said and continued to browse through their movies.

Thea bit her lip, not knowing what to do with the situation and she wanted to run into her room in embarrassment as well but she knows that it would be rude to leave guests alone like that at the same time. She didn't really know what made her say that, actually she did, she just didn't know where she got the courage to voice out her feelings like that.

She wasn't the type of person to keep her feelings to herself but she didn't expect to be so bold about it either. She grabbed her phone and sent a text to Elysian, asking if she could call her just to escape the burning gaze of Magus in which the latter did.

Thea stood up and went to the balcony before answering the call.

"Hello-"

"Okay, what's wrong? Do I have to bring a gun with me? How about Alex? Did you contact him-"
