"Slowly Baby, you'll choke on your food" Magus chuckled as Thea ate the food.
Magus offered her a glass of water when she suddenly started coughing and choking. "Easy"
"We're here!" Elsyian suddenly entered the room with Alex in tow. "And I have cookies?"
Thea's eyes beamed at the sound of cookies and she gulped down the food that was in her mouth to greet her friend and her brother. After she woke up at the police station, they decided to transfer her to the hospital in their own city instead. Magus never left her side and she never felt more safer.
"Thank You Ely" she thanked her.
"No Biggie, Ares did bake some of them so you can guess which is which"
"Ares? When did you call him that? And you baked? Thea? Don't eat those" Magus said.
Elysian rolled her eyes. "Brother, please don't be so dramatic, I was just teasing, Mom baked them"
"Good, but you still didn't answer my question"
"About what?"
"Well.." he pointed at Alex and Elysian. "..that, when did that happen?"
"Relax, nothing's happening"
"Good"
"-yet"
"What?!"
Antheia laughed as she watch them bicker while eating her cookies. She was happy that she was back there with them and despite everything that happened to her last week, she was still thankful that she could close that part of her life behind her.
"Hey there" Alex sat down on her bed. "How are you feeling?"
"I've been here for two days already Alex, don't you think I should go home now?"
Alex went silent. "T-They didn't want to let you leave yet"
"But?"
"What?"
"Alex, I know that there's something-"
"T-They want to know what happened" Thea pursed her lips. "I have been postponing their visit here but the investigation isn't going anywhere without-"
"Okay"
Alex looked at her eyes. "Are you sure about this?"
"Yes" she smiled at him. "I think I have enough courage to look back on that now-"
"Is anybody home?"
Their heads turned to the door to the man who entered the room with a bunch of flowers and a huge teddy bear in hand. He walked inside the room and swiftly placed the gifts on the table. Alex stood up to greet him.
"Hey Man, sorry I'm late my uh, dog ran out of the house" he said and glanced at Thea who was now shaking.
"No worries, thank you for volunteering to handle this investigation personally, they didn't really allow me considering that I'm a family member" Alex said and shook his hand.
Max smiled at him and looked at Thea who was now frozen with fear. "Hey Thea"
"M-Magus.."
Sensing her tension, Magus immediately went to her side and blocked Max before he could even get near her.
"Sorry Man, she's been shaken up since the incident so she's a bit wary of people getting near her"
Max stared at Magus. "Oh, I understand, I just came to drop those off"
