Thea woke up in her room and completely weirded out by what happened. She could remember talking to Max and the events that happened after that was blurry. She sat up and looked around the room and confused that Mags wasn't beside her. She looked for him around the room but there were no signs of him so she thought that she left him in the living room.
As she opens the door, the smell of bacon and eggs entered her nose. Knowing that her brother doesn't cook, she thought it was Magus and that he ended up going back last night but to her surprise, it wasn't Magus nor her brother.
"Oh Hey Flower, you're awake" Max smiled at her. "You can just sit there, I'll be done in a minute"
Although she was weirded out that Max was in their kitchen cooking, she didn't ask questions. She thought that it was one of the days that Max stayed over and he was like family to them so he didn't really seemed different.
"How about Alex?" she asked.
"Oh, he said he'll skip breakfast" Max said and placed a plate in front of her. "Eat up"
"Huh, that's new, why would he skip breakfast?" she asked herself. "I'll check up on him"
Before Max could say anything, she stood up and went to Alex's room. She knocked on his door but he didn't answer. After trying for a couple of times, Thea grew worried, thinking that he might be sick or something was wrong but as soon as she opened the door she was met with a brick wall.
Her breathing start to hitch and she raised her shaking hand to touch the wall. She felt Max's presence behind her and he placed his hands on her arm in an up and down motion, trying to comfort her.
"Shh, it's okay Flower" he whispered in her ear.
"W-What's-W-Where-"
"it's okay, everything's fine" he cooed her.
Her head started to spin and tears started to stream from her eyes. She pushed Max lightly and she walked into the room adjacent to her and it was the same as her brother's. A wall. She pushed herself to walk to the living room and ran to the door going to the shop but it was locked.
"I'm n-not home" she mumbled. "I-I'm not h-home"
She rushed back up only to notice that the view from the veranda wasn't the same as the one that they have on their living room. They were surrounded by tall buildings and she looked down only to see that they were at least 50 floors from the ground. She started to hyperventilate and her knees wobbled. She plopped down and clutched the hinge of the sliding door.
Plane. Heights.
"Do you like it?"
She turned her head to Max who was leaning in the wall and looking at her with a proud grin on his face. She scooted away from him as he started to walk towards her but she had no space around her aside from being beside the railings.
"I hope you do though, it took me a couple of years to make this place and finally we have a place that's just for us" he was about to grab her chin but she slapped his hand away.
Max was shocked and the jolly look on his face disappeared as he looked back to her with a blank stare and wide smile.
"Did you just..." he looked at his hand. "Wow"
"Take me home" she said.
"I never pegged you to be the violent type, Flower"
"Take me home!" she repeated.
"Let me think about it....no" he grinned at her and it made her shiver in fear.
"Take me Home! Help! Somebody! Help me please!" she shouted, hoping that someone would come and save her.
