When I woke up, I looked around. Most were still asleep. I saw Sofie arguing with Amelie. Then Sofie got up, grabbed her glittery pink toiletry bag and left the room. I had never seen the two argue before. It's probably because of the situation, everyone's nerves are on edge.
He smiled pityingly at me and placed a hand on mine, stroking it lightly. The spot he had touched started to tingle and I looked into his eyes. It felt like time was standing still. Unfortunately, this moment was interrupted by Katy a just woke up. "Morning," she mumbled sleepily and stretched out extensively. "Morning," we said back. Her eyes widened as her gaze fell on our hands.
We separated and looked away in embarrassment. I could feel the heat on my face, I was definitely blushing now. "We should get ready," said Mr Schmidt. We grabbed our toiletry bags and walked up the stairs together.
At the top we went into the shared bathroom, the girls to the left and the boys to the right. "I'm staying here, if something happens, please come to me immediately. Got it?" said Mr Schmidt. We nodded silently and began our morning wash.
In the front part there were wash basins, in the back part toilets and in an adjoining room, showers. I wanted to take a quick shower, just like Amelie, Lisa and Christin. Amelie was the first to enter the room and began to scream.
The other girls came running to us. Sophie was lying on the floor. Her shirt was red on her stomach and chest, and there was blood on her mouth. There was a bloody trail on the floor that looked like she was about to crawl away.
There was a bloodstain on the wall. Christin just came running with Mr Schmidt. "Please go outside," he said. We went into the hallway where the boys were standing. "What happened?" Julian wanted to know. "Sofie was killed!" Amelie yelled at him.
How Sophie was killed from her point of view.
I was angry because I had just had an argument with Amelie, and w I just wanted to take a shower. I got up and took my toiletry bag. I ran up the stairs and into the hallway. I heard a squeak and turned around. There was nothing there, but I was still afraid. I took my nail file out of my pocket. Better safe than sorry, I told myself.
I entered the bathroom. It had white tiles and was very sparse. I went into the next room to the showers. I heard footsteps, someone else had come into the bathroom. And this person came right in my direction now. A man dressed in black approached me.
I gripped the nail file in my hand even tighter. The man pulled a knife out of his coat. And came at me so fast and stuck the knife in my stomach. I felt the cold steel inside me. In a reflex, I rammed my nail file into his left shoulder. He groaned in pain and leaned his back against the wall. When he let go of me, I fell to the ground. I crawled away from there, but then he came back to me, turned me around and rammed his knife into my chest, and then again in my stomach. My vision began to fade. He rammed his knife into my stomach and chest several times. I started coughing up blood. I closed my eyes because I didn't want him to be the last thing I would see. He let me go and left. I took a last breath and then...
From Amy's point of view again
"How could that happen?" Paul asked. "Do you think the killer only targets girls?" asked Mark. Simon looked at him questioningly. "Well, because he only killed girls," Markus replied to Simon's confused look.
True, I hadn't looked at it from that point of view. And if that's really the case, we girls need to be even more careful. "When did that actually happen? I mean, she was with us last night, wasn't she?" asked Lisa. "She went upstairs while most of us were still asleep," I said. "True, but before that you had an argument with Amelie," Leon said.
Apparently, he noticed that too. "You've never had a fight. Why did you, guys, fight?" Katy wanted to know. "I won't say anything!" said Amelie angrily. She looked very battered.
