In the library, I went to a quiet corner with Fabi. I took out the book. "What is that book?" Fabi asked me. "I don't know but I have a feeling it will give us answers. It was hidden behind another book and as I was afraid it would disappear, so I took it," I explained to him. "Well then, let's see what's written in it," said Fabi.

I untied the red ribbon tied around the book. I opened the book and there was something written in a language I didn't understand. "That's Romanian," said Fabi. "Do you know Romanian?" I asked him. "No, let's take it anyway. I think it explains a lot," he said while leafing through the book. "Look, does that look like a contract and is it blood?" I asked. "Yes, you're right," he said. He tied the book back together and hid the book in a pocket of his shirt. "Hey, is Julian with you?" asked Paul. "No," said Fabi. "Okay, thanks anyway," said Paul.

Fabi sat leaning against a bookshelf and pulled me onto his lap. I looked into his beautiful green eyes. They always reminded me of a beautiful forest in summer at midday.

He put his right hand on my cheek and kissed me. I wrapped my arms around his neck to be even closer to him. The kiss was very intense. We played with our tongues. I felt that he poured all of his feelings for me into that kiss. We broke up and I put my forehead against his. I smiled and felt the heat rise in my cheeks. I must have looked like a tomato now.

But that was all beside the point. Now only he and I mattered. It feels like the world has stopped. "I love you," he whispered to me. "I love you too," I whispered back. We kissed again, but only briefly this time. As we parted, I leaned against his chest and inhaled his scent. He stroked my hair. That moment, in his arms, gave me renewed strength, energy and hope. I knew he was the person I wanted to spend my life with and grow old with.

We stayed in the library for the rest of the day and sometimes went to see the others. When we went down, Fabi spoke to Mr Schmidt. "Mr Schmidt, what time does the bus come on Sunday?" "It comes at 7:30 a.m.," said Mr Schmidt. "Okay, thanks," said Fabi. In the dining room Vladimir was waiting for us with dinner. There was salad, chicken and baguette.

As we sat and started to eat, Mr Schmidt asked around. "Where's Julian?" "I don't know, I've been looking for him in the library," Paul said. "Why do so many disappear without a trace?" Mr Schmidt asked quietly.

He was probably wondering himself. No one replied and everyone continued to eat in silence. "Because of the night watch, I would do that for tonight," Vladimir broke the silence. "That would be nice," said Mr Schmidt, looking at him gratefully. We lay down after dinner.

When we brought our mattresses, we had also brought our suitcases. I took a small shoulder bag out of my suitcase and gave it to Fabi. He understood immediately and put the book in and hung it around his neck.

As he lay down, he raised one arm and I snuggled into his arms next to him. He wrapped his arm around me and gave me a quick kiss. "A goodnight kiss, my angel," he said, grinning. I grinned back. While snuggled against his chest, I fell asleep.

From Lisa's point of view

I must have been awake for three hours now and couldn't sleep. I sat down and looked at the others. When I saw Amy and Fabi, I had to smile.

The two were made for each other and such a sweet couple. It was so cute how Amy slept in Fabi's arms. I looked at the door and Vladimir was gone, he was there a minute ago. He probably needed to go to the toilet.

I saw Julian standing in the entrance hall. I got up and ran to him. But he went to the basement and I followed him. It was really dark in the basement and there was no sign of Julian. I heard a crazy and disturbing laughter. It sent a cold shiver down my spine. "Julian, is that you?" I asked anxiously. "Unfortunately wrong," said a man.

I couldn't see where it was coming from as it was so dark. I was pushed against the wall and two hands wrapped around my neck and squeezed. "Help," I croaked.

I kicked and punched and tried to scratch the man to somehow get him off me. The man tightened his grip. I could no longer stand on my feet, only the man's hands kept me upright. I was slowly closing my eyes...
