Faith's pov

"I was beginning to worry you might not live up to your end of the bargain. Give it to me," said Samael as he eyed the Heart that was in War's hand. However, I can tell that he is angry with the demon.

"You lied to us about the Chosen...They never guarded the Tower."

"What does it matter? Our deal wasn't for ancient history. I promised you the Tower, and you shall have it."

In some sense he's not wrong on that, he did promise us away and it's something that we will receive. But still; now knowing Samael's reasons for the Hearts, I couldn't help but feel nervous. I stood there quietly, watching as War tossed the Heart to Samael and began to eat it. Suddenly the atmosphere around us has changed as he gained power from all of the Chosen.

"Did it amuse you, to deny me what's rightfully mine? With my powers restored, I am like unto a god! I could suck the marrow from your bones before you drew another breath. I could...but I too have a code by which I do business. Besides, say what you will about Balance and your ridiculous Law. I recognize a quest for revenge when I see one. And revenge, I respect!" He said as he opened a portal for us that most likely leads us to the Tower.

"As for the details of my 'resignation'...well...I do not approve of the company my master keeps."

"Why did you challenge the Destroyer, Samael?"

"See your journey to its end, Horseman and Angel, you both will understand soon enough," he said while not giving a clear answer. War didn't say anything else after that, so instead, he made his way towards the portal while I was slowly following behind and then the Watcher appeared.

"You trust him?! Who knows where in the Nine Hells this portal will take us?!"

"That is true Watcher, but we have done so much to come this far. There are no other options for us," I said to him as we went into the portal. We found ourselves in what looks like a Serpent Hole but it was much more different from the ones we used, rather than the ghostly colour is now amber. And when we finally reached the end, we were transported to the place we needed to be. The Tower. As we moved forward we have entered a room however, we weren't the only ones there. Within the centre of the room was an angel who I know so well.

"Azrael."

"Heaven help me...The Seventh Seal...was not broken..."

"What have you to fear from me, Angel of Death?"

"If you do not intend to kill me, then perhaps...you will help me?"

"You've given me no reason to do either."

"Brother Azrael, what is it that you need help with," I asked him with a worried tone.

"Listen to me, Faith. The Gate must be shut. The Tower must be cut off from the Well! It is from the Well that the Destroyer draws his power!"

"The Well of Souls?"

"Millions of souls...yes. Enslaved...twisted. A corrupt power to fuel the Destoyer's armies!"

"You are Steward of the Underworld. Watcher of the Well. Not a single soul flows back into this world without you knowing...unless, gatekeeper, you opened the way."

"What?! Is this true Azreal?!"

"The Destroyer sent the mightiest of his Chosen against me. I fared no better than you did, Horseman...against Straga."

"Straga!"

"You will take us to him?"

"You have my word."

"Then tell me what we must do...Angel of Death."

"You must find some way to draw power to this chamber."

"Say no more brother, we will help you," I said to him before me and walked out of the chamber, find a power source and draw it back here in order to free Azreal and find Straga. Even though I don't share a family relationship with the Archangel, I still see him as a brother. He taught me everything I needed to know, after all. So I will set him free, no matter what.
