Darksiders: With war comes faith (War x oc)

Prologue II

He showed no hesitation as he kills the smaller demons most brutally. Simply by slicing them half and chopping their heads off. Then it was the larger demons turn, thinking that it was going to be an easy kill but the armoured stranger has something different planned. He slowly lifted into the air and suddenly turned into a monster, roughly about the same towering height as the demon but with some slight differences. His whole body is made by fire, with small wings on his back, a tail and horns. Yet despite the new form, he still holds a large sword-like weapon. What felt like a mere second the stranger killed the demon with no trouble. Then more meteors started to fall from the sky, one of which just happened to clear the blockade of vehicles that were in the way. When he began to move forward he saw that not only was there more of the smaller demons but some humans were still alive, and just when they were about to meet their end, the demons were instantly killed by a group of armoured angels. He didn't go unnoticed by them though as one of the angels called out to his comrades as they pursue forward.

"War is here!"

As War continues onward and kills some demons on the way he noticed that a stone-like giant just up ahead the crumbling street. It was back by chains as demons were pulling it back, but then the demons have pulled the giant so hard that it started to fall backwards, thus killing the demons in the process. Just as War has gotten close to the stone creature, angels have appeared before him with weapons at the ready and moved in for the attack.

"Judgment approaches!"

Having no other option War started to kill off the angels while still in his monstrous form. Just as he was finished the giant has gotten back on its feet and began to move forward. As War began to follow it the air was suddenly filled with the sound of a horn and his monster form had vanished, leaving War in his real body and feeling weak, almost like his power was slowly getting taken away from him.

"What...is happening?"

As War continued his pursuit, has witnessed the deaths of the humans. As well as killing off both the angels and demons. Larger demons have even appeared as Was watched it as it crashed a mantle flying machine into the side of a nearly destroyed building. Finally, he has reached an open space within the street as angels fly around the area, and in the centre of the road was a large crater that's filled with lava. There were three different angles; one of them was an older male whose appearance speaks holy power, with silver-white hair, has an eye patch and large wings. His armour is much more extravagant compared to the other two, who were both females. The male has taken to the air and watched the other angles with a scolding expression as the other angels were dropping dead as they were getting killed and eaten alive by demons. The air was filled again by the sound of a horn as War has entered into the area and looked up at the angels.

"Impossible," said the male angel as he stared down at War. The shocked tone of his voice has even caught the attention of one of the female angels.

"War!"

She went down to his level and looked up at him with a surprised expression since he was a bit taller than her. She too has a weapon in hand and her has a small pear of wings just below her larger one's. Her armour was the same like the other female that's in the sky. Females armour was a lot more different from the others. She has long silver ash blonde hair and golden eyes with a light blue running around the iris.

"Faith," said War as he greeted her with his low and deep voice and then turned his attention to the angel above him.

"Abaddon. What is this? Where are my brothers?"

"What? Do you mean the other horsemen aren't here with you?"

This surprises Faith greatly. Demons are attacking the third kingdom, the angels of the hellguard immediately went into action as some demons have some entered their realm, so how come War is here? The only one out of the four, where are the other three.

"This cannot be. The...final seal..."

As soon as he said that Faith looked up at Abaddon as a concerned feeling was bubbling up inside her. What was her lord saying? What happened to the seal? And how did he know about it?

As he was deep in thought a large demon with wings started to attack him. This didn't go noticed as the other female, Uriel, turned her attention to the scene.

"My lord!"

Without wasting any time, she went and saved Abaddon from a close death. He however didn't pay much attention to her as he watched the demon fall to its death into the magma below as he clenches both his hands into a fist.

"How did this happen...?"

The horn can be heard once again only this one has brought War kennelling down to the ground, shocking and worried Faith as she went on her keens next to him.

"War!"

"The seventh seal was not broken!!!"

No one would have thought that those were to be Abaddon's final words as a gigantic hand reached out from the lava below towards him.

"Abaddon!"

However, he wasn't quick enough to escape as Uriel called out to him and was crushed to death, and was pulled down into the pit of magma. The two angels who witnessed his death were having very mixed feelings and thoughts on what just happened. Faith was more confused than anything else; she took note that her lord has mentioned something the seventh seal, the seal of the endwar. Just how would he know if it was broken or not? Clearly, something isn't right. Uriel on the other hand felt nothing but anger as she turned her attention to War as he was gasping in pain.

"What in heaven's name have you done?"

"I answer the call."

As soon as he said that an even larger demon has made itself known, the very one that just killed Abaddon; Straga. Some angels were foolish enough to think that they could take him on but were instantly killed. Leaving the hellguard no other option to retreat and leaving War against him on his own. Faith however chose to stay behind and watch from a safe distance, praying that he will be alright. It was a close battle, War was doing very well but just as he was to inflict more damage to Straga, the horn was called out one more. Having no other option, War couldn't continue the fight in his weak state and fled. However, due to his strength being lost and a slow pace, Straga had knocked War away. Making Faith worry about him more but she knew that she's unable to help, especially against Straga.

"The law...has been broken..."
When he was slowly trying to get back up, Straga however picked him up in a fist and brought him to an eye level.

"And so have you, horseman."

Without any hesitation the demon tightness his grip on War as he was about to crush him. With one last scream from him, all Faith can do was watch in horror as she just witnessed War getting destroyed by Straga.

"War!!!"
