Faith's pov

"A lot of things have changed since you were gone War, not just the fall of mankind. Even the Hellguard became different."

"What happened Faith."

"The death of Abaddon happened. The White city fall into a pang of deep sadness as we lost our leader. The Hellguard, which was supposed to be mine to command but Uriel had different a different idea," I said to him while not making any eye contact and walked into the hall of the cathedral.

"Uriel believed that she should be the one and only one leader of the Hellguard and will take every opened opportunity till kill you. She kept on saying that you were responsible for what happened to Abaddon and everyone else agreed with her. I on the other hand didn't think so and defined you; but then Uriel just got so angry and began to attack me. It was a brutal fight but she had the upper hand, then I was locked away in the White City. At first, I thought that I was doomed till someone helped me escape, I don't know who but I was thankful. I barely made it out alive then I came here to this cathedral."

"You were here before?"

"Yes, War. I stayed here for shelter, to prepare myself for the dangers outside but to also wait and pray for your return. As the years passed by, so did the humans but then I met someone. They were human, a girl, but yet lacked a physical body."

"You've met a lost soul. It's considered rare to even meet one that's just wandering around and didn't make it to the wall but why was it here?"

"I asked her the same question. Turns out she has been dead for a while, for a whole year. To why she hasn't passed on, I don't know. Even she didn't know."

"I see, so what happened next?"

"Well we have been enjoying each other's company but then all of a sudden, she just disappear. Then not long after that Tiamat took over this cathedral. To this day, I don't know where the lost soul is. Since then, I was pretty lonely."

We both didn't say anything else after that, I've finally done it. I slightly opened up to War and told him everything that had happened, I didn't want to say anything at first because I didn't think he would care that much about my problems. After many long years of being alone, I finally have some company again and from the man that I've grown to care for so much.

"I'm sure you will meet them again somehow Faith, but till then, we have some work to do," War said as he lightly patted my shoulder while giving me a short smile. I didn't say but smiled back at him, then we walked towards the door that leads into the main cathedral hall but then the Griffin and Tiamat just came crashing into the room. It was vicious between the two; crashing and tossing each other into the walls then they both took the air. I'm getting the feeling that she won't be easy to get to.

-Time skip-

After travelling from room to room in the cathedral; killing off the enemies and War getting a new weapon, the pathway that leads to Tiamat is finally opened. A spiral stairway that would take us to the very top. The stone-ground was wet due to the rain and the bodies of dead humans were littered across, and to add the gloomy atmosphere the voice of our target was heard as she watched us from the tower and entering her home.

"Has the Council reduced the Horsemen to common assassins?" She said as she dropped the dead body of the Griffin down to the ground and began to climb down to our level. However, seeing the Griffin in such a way honestly hurt my heart. They really had put up a really good fight against Tiamat.

"Or has Samael bought your loyalty? Because, if you and the angel are for sale Rider...perhaps we can strike a deal."

"You won't like my terms. Faith, if you are going to help then take to the air and attack her from a long distance, leave all the short distance to me," War said to me as he took his blade out and was ready to fight. I didn't say anything but I did as I was told, but now I wish I told War about something important but now it can't be helped. I just know that this is a fight that I will come out injured.

After what felt like a couple of hits War was able to weaken Tiamat while I lay myself against a nearby arch with my body beaten and aching. Using the energy that I still had, I watched him getting on Tiamat's back and by using his strength; he ripped off her wings. Normally I would shudder at the site but seeing War being so powerful like this brought back memories. It reminded me of the time when I first meet him, how I miss those days sometimes.

"Horsemen..." Tiamat said as she watched War raising his hand up in the air, readying to take her heart then the Watcher appeared.

"Do it! Tear out her heart while she still lives! I want to hear her scream!"

"...I am...one of the Chosen...I can grant...your every wish..." I don't even know what she is even trying, if what she said is true then there's only one thing that War could wish for.

"Can you restore the Balance?" War asked Tiamat but instead of getting an actual response, she just started laughing. That action alone just answers his question than without wasting another minute, he drove his hand into her chest and rips out her heart. I slowly got up on my feet again and made my way towards him while holding her beating heart, which took me by surprise.

"Such power..."

"No wonder Samael wants this thing, it's coursing with power! You really think that he's going to let you live long enough to collect on your end?"

"We can only hope, Watcher. And if not, then we are going to have a big problem," I said to him but that does raise the question, why does he want the hearts of the Chosen that badly.
