Albedo is no scientist. He is something a little similar though, he's an alchemist. Therefore – out of boredom – he wanted to create a potion. What could go wrong?
"Oh, dear me," Albedo muttered under his breath as he failed another potion, excess powder from the potion filled up his goggles.
He tried making the same potion multiple times already! His first attempt went terribly wrong when he turned a squirrel into a feather. Surely, that's a cool transformation potion but it's not what he was aiming for.
His second attempt went smoother but turned out to be another failed attempt when he tried it on a frog. The frog turned into another animal, specifically a blue toad.
He tried drinking the next potion and turned really emo after he tried. His hair was black and it was out of his usual half up and half down. His eyes turned darker than his usual greenish- blue eyes. Honestly, it was hard for Sucrose to deal with since he was much more...Sluggish than his usual self.
His mistakes and failures just kept going on and on from there.
A little irritated from trying to make the same potion a bunch of times, he took off his goggles with a slight frown and tried to scrub the powder off with his gloved hand.
"Mr. Albedo! What happened this time?!" Sucrose exclaimed while rushing into his experiment laboratory. She was just researching stuff outside until she heard a loud noise coming from his laboratory, also known as his campsite.
"It...Exploded on me again," Albedo said, sighing in disappointment.
Sucrose awkwardly patted his back to comfort him in some way and pondered for the optimistic words to boost up his mood.
"I'm sure it'll work out next time. Well, at least I hope it does," she reassured. "Either way, if you need any help you could always ask me or Timaeus, or any of the other helpers!"
She then felt an urge to leave due to his lack of response. She stayed quiet, thinking of an excuse to leave.
"I'll have to go now since I need to help Timaeus with a project but try not to give up yet. I hope all is well for you!" she cheered softly and walked out the campsite soon after to 'help Timaeus'.
As Sucrose left, Albedo was left in silence with his musings.
"How strange. I'm sure that I calculated and followed the formula right though. What could have possibly gone wrong," Albedo mumbled to himself while checking through his papers with the multiple formulas carefully once again.
.
20 minutes after that incident, he decided to try one more time.
"A little bit of hillichurl tears and done," Albedo said before quickly running away from the potion, hiding behind an adjacent chair.
He squeezed his eyes shut, expecting the same results as the last one.
Poof!
Albedo opened his eyes, relieved that it didn't explode.
It looked really...Beautiful! It was such a rosy hue with some type of shiny particles swirling around in the inside. Albedo conscientiously leaned in closer to take a better look at it, slightly satisfied with what he's created.
