"Mr. Albedo! How did your hangout with [reader] go? Was it okay?" Sucrose asked Albedo the next day.

"It went well, Sucrose," Albedo replied, focusing on his papers with records of his experiments, notes, and formulas.

"Did you perhaps catch feelings for her yesterday or maybe you both grew closer?" Sucrose asked, slightly hoping that was the case.

She knows that it would be unrealistic but she would love to see [reader] more often.

Unfortunately for her, this isn't some type of basic Disney movie.

"Not at all. That would be unrealistic. Why would I fall for someone within one hangout.  Either way, I'm not interested in romantic relationships," Albedo replied furrowing his brows, flipping to the next page of his sheets of paper.

Despite the fact that his expression showed a bit of displeasure, he enjoyed yesterday. But his words were true. He doesn't hate you but his feelings didn't change at all. He was neutral with you, just like before and like he is with any other ordinary person.

"I-I see," she mumbled. She was about to greet him off to leave but he spoke first.

"Moving onto a different topic. Sucrose, do you perhaps have the results from the last experiment before this whole incident happened?" he asked.

"What experiment? I apologize but I can't seem to remember what experiment we did before," she replied, shaking her head while looking at the floor.

"The one where I drew this big monster with big blue eyes and it was blue with a big forehead. It had bushy eyebrows and it kept whispering cookies? Do you remember now?"

"Um...I believe that I stopped you from creating many more of those. It kept taking children's snacks and throwing it after realizing it was nothing compared to what it wanted. It soon disappeared into thin air all of a sudden," she responded.

"Oh. How unfortunate. I actually quite liked it. I wonder if I could make more creatures like that? Perhaps, a friend?" Albedo kept mumbling about more things he could create.

"Mister Albedo, don't take this to heart but I think that would end up horribly. It's just that your creations of these things could possibly go on and harm or scare off some civilians! I mean no offense by what I said!" Sucrose quickly explained, not wanting to offend the alchemist.

"I see, I'll just be more mindful and be prudent for Mondstadt. It would be a shame if Mondstadt would crumble down all because of one of my many experiments," he said while nodding,  understanding what Sucrose meant.

"I'm glad you understand. Well, I'll have to take my leave now. Have a good day Mister Albedo! " Sucrose shouted quietly, walking away.

"Should I try making another potion?" Albedo thought for a quick minute, "Wait, no. The potion I tried on [reader] worked. Right? Therefore, I don't need to recreate it. I just need to test it out on other things, right?"

Albedo sighed.

"Definitely, just side effects. Just like how I assumed."

For some reason, it felt quieter than usual in his laboratory in Dragonspine.

It was comforting yet uncomfortable. It was missing something or more so...

Someone.

"Probably just the weather,"  he mumbled to himself.

He lit a fire, which was soon quickly extinguished by a hydro mage. He looked at it deadpanned like always. He thought of something else to do to pass time other than looking at the same sheets of papers.

"I should paint something," he said, trying to get rid of that uncomfortable aura.

He took a deep breath and started painting, but compared to usual, he tried painting with his eyes closed.

.

After a couple of strokes of his brush onto the hard canvas, he looked at his drawing.

The drawing had features that he could recognize anywhere, it was you...As Shrek.

He ripped out the drawing, folded it, and threw it in the trash. He shook his head trying to shake off the image out of his head. Traumatizing. Absolutely traumatizing. What a unique imagination he has.

"Speaking of [reader], I wonder what they are doing right now," Albedo wondered.

.

Meanwhile with [reader],

"Woo hoo, pretty boy," you said while watching an episode of an anime.

You grabbed a fist of of whatever snacks you bought and shoved it into your mouth. Somehow, you managed to get a tv wherever you lived. There was only one TV in Mondstadt and you have it. Perhaps, Diluc might have one since he's rich but you doubt that. Honestly, it's quite surprising how no one tried to rob your tv yet but that's good, right?

You had Eula and Amber come over to hang out. All three of you weren't really doing much, just chatting and eating.

"Are they okay? [Reader] looks like they've gone through a breakup," Amber asked Eula.

"No, they're always like this," Eula said, shaking her head with crossed arms. "Though, it's a little bit more different now."

"How come Albedo can't love me like that!?" you complained while groaning with a  frown on your face.

Eula and Amber's faces looked at each other in disbelief at what they have just heard from you.

"Albedo?!" they both shouted, astonished.

"Yes! I love Albedo so much! He's just so handsome, smart, understanding..." you kept blabbering while falling back on the couch, not knowing that Eula and Amber stopped listening.

"But I thought [reader] liked-"

"I believe that love interests can change over time so I guess that's what happened," Eula said, putting a hand on Amber's shoulder.

"I-I see..." Amber said, putting her hand on her cheek. "Why Albedo though?"

.

"You know what, I don't think I even want to know anymore," Albedo mumbled to himself, shaking his head a bit. "Probably, something very unpredictable."

He continued focusing on his drawing, trying to get his mind off the experimental potions and such.

Inhaling the cold fresh air of Dragonspine, he stretched his arms a bit.

His hand was still holding a brush and the end of the brush had touched someone. Someone who he didn't know was even there.

"WHO THE FREAK," Albedo thought monotonically.

Honestly, this chapter is kind of like a filler episode. It's short. - Soap
