Chapter 19 (A Lot On Your Back):

You groaned as you woke up this morning, feeling very execrable.

All because you didn't get a wink of sleep that night because of the letter you wrote and when you felt your eyes closing, you fell onto the hard ground with a harsh thump sound. 

Turns out, you were rolling on the bed until you reached the end, which ended up with you on the ground. You got up from the ground with your back in abominable pain. This all happened at 5 am in the morning. 

It is 12 pm in the afternoon, you're walking around in Mondstadt like usual. Your mood? You're grumpy, tired, and achy. 

You had nothing else to do so you decided to take a breather and just walk without anything in your way, with nothing in your mind. It's not like you would ache your back even more during your short walk. 

"Timothy Chocolat Ebelin Sora Simpher Joey Tiffan Cloud Le Third The Fifth Maybe the Sixth! Be careful, you might ram into somebody! Get back here!" 

You were walking peacefully without a care, not aware of the danger about to come by. Loud giggles filled your ears as light flashes before your own eyes. Everything was in slow motion at this moment for you. 

"HHA- Oomph!" A kid just ran into your back, the back that you wanted to stop aching. You felt not only just worse but like a grandparent now. You- No. 

Everyone could hear your back cracking, not actually but it was certainly loud in your head, as you bit your bottom lip to not shout profusely. 

The kid giggles faded and her movement slows down. She walks backwards hesitantly before looking at you in worry. Her mouth agape.

"I-I'm sorry, I was having too much fun. Are you okay?"

You felt too enervated for this so you just gave her an okay sign gesture with your hands. You then feel a small hand grab your own while she grabs something from her cute fluffy bag shaped like a cat. 

She pulled out a candy and placed it into your hands while mumbling another short apology before skipping away to her mother. Well, that seemed to sort of increase your mood a tad bit. 

You put the candy into your pocket and questioned yourself if you should visit Barbara to help with your back pain. You then dismiss that thought since you didn't find your back pain much of a big deal. 

"Ah [reader]! Pleasant to see you here." You recognized that voice immediately as you faced the blonde-headed alchemist to your left.  

You were about to wave as a greeting before you remembered the letter you wrote to him. You felt embarrassed but why? It's not like it was some type of typical lovey dovey high school confession letter, it was an apology letter. With your hands shaking, you let out a bold...

"Hi."

"Are you feeling okay?" Albedo asked before leaning in to press his cold gloved hand against your forehead. His eyes widen slightly before backing away slowly. 

"I apologize, I forgot about personal space. Fortunately, you don't seem to have a fever."

"Don't worry about that. I'm fine with that..." Your eyes narrowed as you thought about the question: "Did he feel uncomfortable when I hugged him during that time?"
