Sonic and Shadow had been running for a while now around the city. The sky was a white-greyish colour, it was quite cold and the wind was waving at them rapidly as they sped past. Sonic had started running, so Shadow, due to holding his hand; kept up to his pace.
Shadow enjoyed running with Sonic, he found it was quite fun compared to doing so by himself.
Eventually, they had reached the countryside and were now running on an off-road pathway. The pebbles bounced simultaneously along the path as they ran across.
Shadow still didn't know where Sonic was taking him but likened the idea of Sonic showing him.
"Pretty nice country." Shadow tried to make small talk. "Sure is Shads!" Sonic replied.
There was a lot of open grass fields and many brown oak trees, the leaves blew from the wind and some leaves gently fell down to the ground on to the floor, which were then blown away from the speed of the two hedgehogs.
Just as the path turned gradually, there were lesser trees blocking the way and down the hill the buildings in the distance were getting more and more apparent. Shadow looked at them closely and as he got nearer he noticed that they looked abandoned, burnt in wrecks. Some were in ruins, others were black from burning and others just looked outdated and run down. There was an eerie feeling from this little hidden wreck town and it peeked Shadow's curiosity.
