They left the Abandoned Town. They had both went their separate ways: Sonic waved to Shadow and told him that he hopes to see him around.

Shadow felt more content and less bitter from hanging out with Sonic; it helped him feel as though he mattered much more than he thought.

Just then, as Shadow made his way back, the sky turned more and more grey and, eventually; started to rain.
The rain was light: only small droplets pattering from the grey clouds onto the ground.

The rain drops landed on Shadows hair; dripped down his spikes, and pattered on his shoes. It was very calming for him; the rain made him feel alive in a way.

He made his way with a slight skating motion for his hover boots to activate, but, in a moderate-moving manner: he wasn't in a hurry for anything and he enjoyed the atmosphere.

Shadow thought about how the world could present such grimness; yet with so much beauty. The ghost town, though so ghastly, was yet so magnificent in its atmosphere.
