"I should go," Tash said, getting up.
Keva, "Okay."
Tash, "Okay?"
Keva nods before saying, "Thank you for your time."
Tash, "...see you around."
Tash turned to walk away but then she hesitated. She turned to look at Keva and he smiled at her. She was left with no choice but to walk away. So, she did, slowly. And he watched her walk away from him until she disappeared into the library.

Ren, "So have you started thinking about your essay yet?"
Tash, "Yeah I mean, a little bit. I'm just trying to find some books and stories that I want to use as discussion points. You?"
Ren, "I'm still thinking about if I want to agree or disagree with my line."
Tash, "What line did you get again?"
Ren, "Love is hate waiting to unfold."
Tash, "..."
Ren, "..."
Tash, "What the fuck?"
Ren, "Exactly."
By now Tash and Ren had walked all the way to the coffee shop. Tash has been in conversation with Ren all the while, but half her attention was somewhere else. There was no red monstrosity parked anywhere today.
Ren, "Hey Tash, I might as well take the bus right now since it's coming or else, I'm gonna have to wait like an hour for the next one."
Tash, "Yeah sure Ren, see you next week in class."
Ren, "Bye. See yah!"
To anyone else that might have been observing Tash in the line, would think she was just really impatient about ordering. But to her, she was fighting an inner battle to not admit that she was feeling a little disappointed right now. I mean it's not like she had any desire to see either of those things again.
The cashier greeted Tash with a smile, "Hi Tasha. What will it be today? Shawnie is already making your latte."
Tash, "Hi Shel, how are you? Uhhh I'll have a bagel with..."
Shel, "Cream cheese?"
Tash, "Yes please... how much?"
Shel, "Oh...it's already paid for."
Tash, "Oh.... wait what?"
Shel, "Um you don't have to pay."
Tash, "Do you guys have some promotion for your regular customers today? Haha."
Shel, "Umm...no. It was...a guy came in here today and instructed me that you must not pay for any other orders when you come in here."
Tash, "A guy?"
Shel, "Yes, Shawnie said he came in with you yesterday and the day before, so I just agreed. Why? You don't know who it is?"
Tash, "No...well yes I think but I never asked..."
Shel, "Oh well what...?"
Tash, "Just let me pay. Don't charge him."
Shel, "Well...I can't because he left cash already to pay for your orders."
Tash, "He did what?...say...how much did he leave?"
Shel, "$300...he said we should contact him again when it's spent. He left a card."
