His head nuzzled firmly against her neck, Keva whispered to her, "so, you were jealous huh?"
Tash recoiled. Not because she wanted to roll her eyes at him, which she did, but because the low tone in which he whispered against her neck seemed to send vibrations through her body.
"Pffttt you wish" she managed to scoff out.
Keva had finally come upon a moment where Tash was baring her affections for him nakedly. He would not let this moment go to waste. He would ride this train until the very last stop. "No, you were definitely mad because you're jealous. You can admit it, it's okay."
"This coming from the guy who cornered me in a washroom today because I was talking to a friend. Best you keep quiet, Goo." She stuck her tongue out at him, maybe for the umpteenth time since they've met each other.
"Don't call me that"
"Why? Is that name only reserved for high school buddies?"
Since managing to escape from his embrace, they had started to play a little game to catch me if you can. Tash had kept herself one step away from him as she teased him, and he followed her around her apartment desperate to get her back into his arms.
"And what do you and your college buddy call each other?" Keva asked tersely.
"Hmm...it depends...sometimes by name...sometimes hunny or babe, it depends on the situation really."
"I see." There it was. That look was back. The lion had returned in his eyes.
It wasn't until now that she recognized he was not chasing her, he was leading her exactly where he wanted. He had backed her right into the bedroom. If she took one more step back, she would collapse onto the bed. And so, she did. Keva hovered over her body.
"It's Keva. Your Keva."
He could not unhear the first time she called his name. She had not bothered to be polite and address him with formality like most people did. While surprised, it was of the unexpected yet pleasant kind. He did not take her informality to be rude or disrespectful. He took it to mean a strange kind of comfort and familiarity between two strangers.
"Say it" he commanded her.
Tash pressed her lips together and shook her head in refusal.
Challenge accepted, he nodded at her. She watched as he rid her of her clothing. The admiration in his eyes as he took a moment to take in the sight of her under him. Her resolve melted immediately while his determination strengthened. As his mouth moved further and further down her body, his name escaped her lips over and over again.

"Keva!!"
"What, woman?" he called back from the bathroom.
"I'm hungry," she shouted at him.
"I'm not. I just ate" he replied, smirking on his way back to the bed. He caught a pillow that was headed straight for his face. "Do you want me to get you something?"
Tash, "What are you gonna find now? It's almost midnight"
Keva, "Then let's make something"
Tash, "Now? I'm too lazy"
Keva stood at the edge of the bed with his hands on his hips, "Then starve"
Tash gasped dramatically and placed her hands on her chest, as if indicating heartbreak.
"Your heart is usually on your left side" Keva plopped down on the bed and his head searched for her lap.
"Oh. What was that thing?" Tash asked, smoothing his hair that her hands earlier fisted.
