It had been a week since the first time Tash texted Keva with her insolence. Her insolence paired with the fact that she contacted him first was quite the victory for him and he reveled in it. That is until he showed up for their date. Well, it was all set up to be a date but neither of them addressed the situation of it being a date. Tash would never admit that she asked him out and he didn't want to have to deal with the pressure of being on a date. So, it was convenient for both of them not to deal on the issue.

Keva met her in the evening. It was after she had left the library. All assignments due the next day were complete so she didn't have to deal with that anxiety while they were hanging out. Because that is what she was calling this. Hanging out.

They were both relatively hungry. Her being in school all day and him having director/owner of a museum business to attend to. Whatever that entailed. The Chinese takeout seemed appealing and so they decided why not. Going to a restaurant and dining in would resemble a date too much and so takeout was the safest bet. Tash wasn't quite ready to invite him up to her place yet so after much discussion they settled for just eating outside, turning the hood of his car into a dining table, much to his horror and to her satisfaction. Soon enough, none of that seemed to matter as everything else started to blur around them and the conversation got quite intense.

Tash, "How can you say that? Batman definitely won that fight!"

Keva, "Only because he had kryptonite."

Tash, "It doesn't matter what he had. That's how you fight. You use whatever you have available to give you the upper hand."

Keva, "That's cheating."

Tash, "How is that cheating? It's only fair. It levels the playing field. You can't expect a regular man in a suit to fight a super powered being."

Keva, "So you admit they are not equals?"

Tash, "Of course they are not equals. That's exactly why Batman is the best. Because he can go up against someone that's practically a God and will still find a way to win."

Keva, "But it was still Superman who had to save the day."

Tash, "As he should. Luthor is not obsessed with Bats, he's obsessed with Superman."

Keva, "Perhaps we should agree to disagree."

Tash, "Perhaps we should agree that I'm right."

Keva, "Perhaps you should shut up."

Tash, "Perhaps you should make me."

And then, Tash stuck her tongue out at Keva like she was a child. He looked at her for a minute bewildered at the level of bratiness she has managed to showcase tonight, and his inner turmoil boiled up to a maximum. He wanted to make her shut up. Badly.
