Mr. Jung Hoon's Private Residence, Seoul.

"It's confirmed", said Clara, entering into the room and making her way up to his desk, " She's coming ".

" She got no other choice ", he said without shifting his gaze from his laptop, his tattooed hands typing away frantically.

" So, things are working out well, aren't they? ", she asked sitting on his lap.

" They are", he replied nuzzling onto the crook of her neck.

"But I don't work for free Mr. Jeon Jungkook", she declared.

Jungkook looked up. " Who asked you to work for free? I'll pay you well tonight ", he said, smirking.

Taehyung's  POV

The night was humid and serene. The only sound that can be heard was the continuous shuffling of the bedsheets as I tossed and turned around on bed, deprived of sleep.

After some time I gave up on my vain attempts of getting any rest tonight and got out of the bed. The room felt suffocating and I longed for some fresh air to vent out the growing uneasiness within me.
I'm cut off from the world.
I can't communicate with the NIS.
I can't send them the information for which they sent me here.

I came out into the cramped corridor. To my left was the dinning room, now it's door shut closed. To my right, the corridor extended and opened out into the living space. The room was empty, a dim night lamp glowed in one corner of the room, which enhanced the grim darkness rather than providing any light.

As I continued my nocturnal sneak-peeks, I tried to figure out which room belonged to Ms. Rossaire. Who else lives here? Mr. Hoon was was not here, but I wondered which one was his room. My curiosity got the better of me and soon I found myself climbing up a flight of stairs at the opposite end of the living room.

The landing on the next floor was dark except for the faint streak of light from the night lamp downstairs. Either sides of the narrow passageway was lined by rooms- all closed except for one.

Was it okay to sneak in?

Maybe it isn't.

Who cares!

I peered in. It was pitch dark inside yet I could make out that the room was empty. I fumbled for the switchboard on the wall. I found the switch and as I switched it on, the room was flooded with a bright light. Once my eyes we're adjusted, I realized that this indeed was Mr. Hoon's room. On one of the walls hung his portrait.

But why is this room not locked?

I decided to go through his drawers, incase I stumbled upon something useful. But hardly had I opened the drawers when, without any warning, the lights went out. I turned around instantly but couldn't figure out anything in the darkness.

Was that a power cut off Or did someone intentionally switch off the lights?

I tried to make my way slowly to the door. I need to get out of here. I heard a faint noise behind me. Before I could even turn around, I felt a sharp, stinging pain behind my head. I could feel bile behind my throat. Even in the pitch darkness, I saw everything turn black.
