Unknown POV

I opened my eyes slowly. I was staring at a whitewashed ceiling. It was neither too dark nor too bright. A cool, soothing wind was blowing in through the window, caressing my cheeks and causing the windchime to produce a soft, tinkling sound.

I stared on as the ceiling gradually turned brighter, a crimson hue of sunrise red illuminated the room. It was dawn. A Bloody Dawn.

I was recovering from my dizzy state. I tried to remember where I was, and what I was doing in this small barely furnished room.

Nothing. My mind was totally blank.

An unknown fear took over me, like a desert encroaching a green pasture. I tried to get up in order to clear my thoughts, but fell back unto the bed after sensing a terrible pain which penetrated my shoulder. I discovered a blood soaked bandage tied there.

I'm injured? Am I in a hospital? But this room was far from being a hospital cabin, although a few syringes and medicines were placed on a bedside table. After several failed attempts, I succeed in grasping one of the medicines without disturbing my shoulder and checked the label. No luck. It had an absurd name and composition which was beyond my power to comprehend. Having no idea what to do next, I decided to lay close my eyes and wait, as I still felt weak.

After how long I don't know, I heard footsteps approaching in my direction. I expected a nurse or sister to enter as I was highly convinced by then that I was in a mental asylum. To my utmost surprise, the person who entered was none other than...

"Jungkook oppa? ", I asked bewildered.

Maybe he hadn't expected me to be back in my senses for he looked surprised and then his expression changed to one of absolute joy.

" You are awake ", he cried and rushed over to give me hug but backed away eyeing the bandage. He gave me a light kiss on my forhead. When he pulled back, I observed that he was tearing up.

" Would you care to explain what has happened to me? ", I asked.

" You.. umm.. had an accident. It's nothing, just a shoulder injury , and the doctor expects you to recover within a week ".

" But why don't I remember anything? "

"Don't you? " he asked. "You remember me alright! "

"No I mean I can't remember, say the events of the past five or six years, neither do I recollect anything regarding the accident".

He realized that the truth couldn't be hidden. " You also had a head injury. The doctor said that you might lose your short term memory forever. But that isn't a problem, is it? "

"Take rest now, I'll be back soon", he said getting up in a hurry.

" No", I said. "You are still keeping back something. I hope you remember that you are not good at hiding things from your sister! "

"And may I know the reason that makes you think that I'm keeping back something from you? "

I couldn't answer him straight away, yet I knew something was wrong. He has changed a lot since I last saw him. He had tattoos all over his arms and was better built than before. "Tell me what I was doing before my accident and where in the wide world I'm now? "

"You are in Seoul alright. As for your work, -" he paused.

"What about my work? Tell me, I don't remember a single thing. I remember that you went to Sejong in search of a job and.. probably I came to Seoul for one. But I don't remember what I did".

He looked straight into my eyes for a while. A shade of melancholy drawn over his face. " It's something more serious than you think. I'll tell you once you recover". I grabbed his hand as he made an attempt to get up.

"I'm fine. Tell me about it. Tell me what I did".

Finding no other way out, he began-

" You used to work as a manager of a hotel. But after working for a year or so, you left the job on my request. Do you remember what I did? No? Well, we- that's me and my team worked, rather works to remove corruption from public and political fields in our country. At that time, we were aiming at the NIS. We had information that corruption had spread its roots deep into the NIS and, if not uprooted, it would have proved fatal to our country's future.

Our work was well, illegal and umm.. you left your job so that you could help us. You were our hacker. Does that ring a bell? "

I nodded faintly. I caught a glimpse of me hacking through documents, frantically typing out programs in order to slay the demon that shattered my and Jungkook's life - Corruption.

But the images were faded and obscure, and would flick of from my mind whenever I tried hard to catch a glimpse of my past. But now I realized Jungkook's real concern. I was working with Jungkook and his illegal team and without any warning I lost my memory and made things go fucking hard for him.

"I was hit by a car? ", I asked.

He nodded. " Maybe it was.. an attempted murder ". His gaze never met mine.

" Why do you think like that? Did I make many enemies? "

"I don't know. I guess an agent from the NIS came to know that you were my sister and he arranged for this 'accident' so that I may stop working against them. Those motherfuckers didn't realize that I was working for their own benefit".

I saw his features go hard while narrating the incident. He calmed down a bit, realizing that he may make me more tense. " That's enough for today. I'll tell you more some other day. Now take rest ", he said getting up.

" Will let me work with you again? ", I called back.

" If you want, then why not? ", he winked, making me smile.

Before exiting the room, he turned back and said, " One last question, just to be sure. Do you remember your name? "

I couldn't help laughing at his senseless concerns. "Yes Mr. Jungkook. I'm your one and only sister Jeon Y/N".

" Perfect! ", he said and blowed me a kiss before leaving.
