Chapter 23

Veronica POV
It's been two weeks, Dad has been buried, mom was taken to the Psychiatric hospital. She ran crazy because she couldn't bear the death of her so-called husband.
Those past weeks I couldn't find that witch, I wonder where she ran off to, I pray she dies wherever she is, if our part ever crosses again I'll make her life so miserable that she will wish for death, that I won't even Grant her.
Now I'm free to do whatever I want without being told what to do. It's time to finally leave this cursed house and go to my beloved, I miss him so much, I can't wait to be in his arms and feel his touch, I smiled shyly as I thought of it.

I stood up from the bed, I brought out my bag to pack my clothes and other things I need. A few hours later, I was done packing, I picked up my handbag and drag my language with me, off I go.

Outside, I stood still as I look at the house for the last time, I'm never coming back here, goodbye house, goodbye everything.

I dragged my luggage to the road, I stopped a taxi and told him my location, I entered the taxi as he drove off.

A few hours later

The taxi driver dropped me in front of  Daniel's house, I paid him and made my way into the building. I knocked on the door and waited patiently for someone to open the door. The door went open, I was welcomed by a young lady, judging by her cloth she must be a maid but why is she so pretty, I felt a little jealous.
Don't worry I'm here to stay, no one in this house should be pretty except me, her days of getting fired are near, I assured myself but that didn't make me feel better.
I pushed her aside as I walked in angrily, where is Daniel I screamed out angrily, I knew if he was home he would hear my scream.
I walked to the sofa, I sat on it and fold my legs, the maid from earlier rushed to me, I felt so angry seeing her pretty face, I felt like designing them. Wait, I just thought of a good idea to make me feel happy, I need to ruin her face to pass a warning to the other pretty maid in this house.
I sighted the scissors on the table, I smiled, just at the perfect time. I picked it up and turned to her, what's your name.

Mercy, she said in fear.

What a nice name, I mocked her. You know what, start begging God for Mercy to save you from what I'm about to do to you, I laughed evilly and grabbed her by the hands to stop her from running away.

Please don't hurt me, she cried in fear.

I won't hurt you, I just want to add a little something to your face, don't you see that as me being nice, why are you so afraid, you won't die from it.

I raised my hand to design her face when I felt a hand grab mine, I turned to see who have the guts to do that. I realized it was Daniel who held my hand.

Get out, he shouted at the maid, she ran away in fear. Oh no, why does he have to ruin my fun, I was enjoying myself.
What do you think you are doing, he asked furiously.

I'm just having fun, nothing bad with it.

You were about to ruin my maid's face and you call that fun?.

Yes, I didn't ask her to look so pretty, why can't I have a little fun with her.
