Veronica pov
I want to go home, I said as I stood up from the seat, staggering. You are drunk, he said as he held me from falling back to the seat.
No, I'm not drunk, I said and pulled away from him as I made my way out of the bar.
Where are my keys, I shouted as I searched my bag.

Here, he said showing me his keys.

I'll drive, I snatched the key away from him

No, I won't let you drive, he said and chased me behind.

Fine, I gave him back the keys, You can drive, I don't mind you helping out I said and passed out in his arms.

I woke up, I stood up from the bed, Where am I, I thought. I walked to the window and looked through it, it was pretty dark.

You are awake, I heard a voice behind me.

Where am I?

At my place, you passed out so I brought you here. Take this, he handed me a glass of milk, it will make you feel better he said.

I took the glass from him, thanks, I said and drank it all. I want to go home, I said.

It's too late, Stay over for tonight, I'll drop you off tomorrow

No, but, he said shutting me off. Remember, Safety first.

Fine, but first I need something to change into after having my bath.

I don't have any lady wears, would you mind wearing one of my T-shirts.

So sweet, I blushed as watched him walk out through the door. I ran into the bathroom after he was out of sight. I turned on the shower, the waters sent a cold shiver to my body.
I walked out minutes later after I was done bathing, I put on the t-shirt he offered me. My face turned red as I noticed how short it was on me.
Veronica, I heard him call out to me from the kitchen, I hurriedly downstairs shyly trying to cover up my revealing legs.

I walked toward him, he smiled as he noticed my discomfort. It looks so good on you, he said pointing to the shirt.
I blushed stylishly, "stop it please", I jokingly said.

I'm serious, he smirked at me. Have a seat he said as he brought out a chair for me to sit on. I sat down and stole a glimpse at him, I noticed how handsome he was. Veronica snaps out of this, You have a fiance who you are so in love with, what the hell are you daydreaming about this guy before you?

I'm so happy, you're here with me, he said breaking the silence. I kept mute not knowing what to say.

The first time I saw you chatting with your friend, I felt some connection, he continued. I just stayed quiet and stared at his gray eyes.

I've never felt like this before, I think I've fallen for you, he spoke out boldly. I couldn't resist his handsome face as he leaned in to kiss me, I didn't know what came over me but I enjoyed the kiss. We kissed for seconds, and he picked me up and carried me into his room.

Daniel POV
I walked into the hospital room, holding a nylon of packed food, I knew why Lisa handed it over to me, she just wanted me to go see her.

She lay on the bed peacefully, it's been a while since I saw her this way, I miss the old days when I woke up beside her while she slept peacefully on my arm. Snap out of your thoughts Daniel, things can never be the same.

I gently placed the nylon of packed food on the table, I was about to walk away silently when I noticed she was awake.

What are you doing here, she said coldly.
