I Knew

*play song*

Jonathan Dennis, as a kid, was never the smartest nor the toughest. So whenever he was bullied, he never felt like he should stand up for himself. And in one particular day, 28 days after his fifth birthday, he was bullied and he realized how much he hated it. And on that particular day, he silently cried all night in his room, the only light coming from the stars.

“I wish I may, I wish I might, have the wish I wish tonight… Please mister stars… Please give me a protector for life.”

Little Jonathan shuts his eyes tightly as he repeats his little wish over and over again. And as he opened his eyes to stare out into the vast sky, a shooting star passes by—maybe by chance, maybe by luck, maybe not.

Evan Fong, as a kid, never knew what he wanted to do in life. He never had a particular goal. His parents put him in the direction of playing sports, more particularly hockey. He grew up with a healthy life style, he ate right, slept at the right time, practiced every day, competed. But he still hasn’t found what he wanted to do in life.

Jonathan Dennis, has always been mysterious and kept to himself. He didn’t have much friends, but not for the lack of trying, rather, people either found him weird or not interesting enough. But he didn’t mind, he was used to being by himself. He was used to being made fun of. He was used to being unappreciated, to being not special.

Evan Fong, buff hockey player, had always been one of the popular kids in any and all of his schools. No one dared mess with him, he was nice but tough. He cared for his friends, but even if he had a group he called friends, even if he had his teammates, he never found someone he can call a best friend.

But in one particular day, he found Duke Nukem 3D, and he found out what it means to be a gamer.

Jonathan Dennis, on May 24, 2007, found YouTube. He’s always been a gamer at heart, so it was only natural that he loved to watch other people play as well. He’d search for gaming videos and funny videos in general. He always had time to himself since he didn’t have that much friends, so he’d use his time playing competitive games online or just to watch videos.

Evan Fong, until this day, is seen by society as a hottie, so it was only normal that most, if not every, girl he met has fallen head over heels for him. All wanting to date him. But even if he has tried to date some of them, even if he has tried to fall for some of their charms, he never found that special person who can make his heart skip a beat and hasten its beat at the same time.

And on a sunny Thursday afternoon, on the 15th of September 2011, he made a YouTube account.
