"Blaine." I smile. But he doesn't return it.
"We need to talk. Now." He says with a hint of nervousness.
"But- um, now?"
"Now." He confirmed with a nod of his head, and he walked off without another word.
"I'll see you soon, Sam."
And he nods as I go to follow Blaine. "What's wrong? What happened?"
"Just follow me. Its time for you to meet the rest of the team."
We walk silently towards his car. The drive wasn't long, fifteen minutes at the most. We stop in front of a warehouse, abandoned for no more than ten years. At the back of it, there is a little keypad on the wall, not noticeable until Blaine traces a pattern on it. "There's different ways for everyone to get into the hideout. Some people have keys, passcodes, eye scans. That kind of stuff; that way no one can get in without a person apart of the team." I nod.
"Smart."
"Thanks," he smirks. "I thought of it."
"In that case," I say, "That's dumb. Who thought of that?" He grins at me but doesn't respond. The wall splits up in a sort of crumbling fashion. The stone cracks it certain spots before disappearing, leaving only the dust of the rocks behind. The passage way wasn't that large. It was a tunnel, just big enough in width for at most three people. Blaine walked in and I followed hesitantly. The entrance grumbled and when I turned too look back, the last stone was appearing in its place.
The walk through the tunnel was only about five minutes long and when we got through I thought of Divergent. The area was filled with boxing areas, punching bags, weights, and I think there was even a magic station. "Welcome to the A-Team's Training centre. This is where we hang out. Some live here, others just train here."
"The A-Team?" I question.
"We're the main team. The A-is-for-awesome team. The team. that gets the challenging quests, things like that," He explains. "There's the B-Team and the C-Team. They each have their own hideout."
"And what? Suddenly I'm apart of the A-is-for-awesome team without starting at the bottom?"
"Yes. You're important, you just don't realize it yet." Blains nods. "Now come on, its time for you to meet the rest of the team. Your new brothers."
"My life is surrounded by brothers," I grumble underneath my breath. "How many are there? What's the age group?"
"There are about fifty to seventy people, and the ages range from thirteen to nineteen."
"A bunch of teenage boys in one place? I feel like you guys would rather be causing chaos rather than stopping it."
"Ha ha. And now its a bunch of teenage boys and girl."
"You better start keeping this place somewhat clean than."
"Everyone! Stop doing what you are doing!" Blaine shouts. The attention immediately turns to him. "We have a new member to the A-Team. The first member since Christmas. Meet Amulet Cavenaugh, our new sister." He smiles, motioning to me.
I smile and do a small wave. "Hi." The room fills with grins and applause fills the room, with cheering and whistles. No, not cat calls or that kind, but like the, "Oh-my-God-that-concert-was-amazing" kind of whistle. "Welcome home." He whispers.
One hour.
I've used one hour on learning names. So far I remember Jack, Mark, Chandler, Toby, Joseph, Cory, Marcus and about thirty more, almost half of the whole group. Also, there have been about ten group hugs that I have had to participate in, a couple times with the same people.
