I blinked. "Amulet, I uh- didn't hear you come in!"

I glared at him. "No, really?" Sam walks up to me and I punch him in the chest. "Why didn't you tell me? Who else knows? Why Derek-"

"Hey!"

"Shut up."

"Woah, woah, woah, woah." Sam shushes.

"The only other person who knew was mum. I was scared Amulet, you have too understand." I stared into his eyes.

"At lunch today though, you and Derek were laughing.." I say softly.

"It's so hard to fit in," his voice cracks. "What would Jeremy say?" His eyes well up.

I pull him into a hug. Derek was sitting on the bed, awkwardly looking around. "You too, Derek." I pull away from them. "I'm still angry."

"I would be too."

"Glad we're on the same page." I pat his chest then stepping back. "Continue what you were doing. Just don't be too loud." I wink and leave the room. I frown. "Blaine, I want to go early." I say into the speaker.

He says. "Alright," His tinny voice sighs. "I'll be there in a few. Kai will be happy." We say our goodbyes and I change into a comfortable outfit. "Sam! I'm going out!" I shout before leaving the place too wait outside.

No more than ten minutes could have passed by before I saw Blaine's car pull up in the driveway. "So, why'd you want to go early?" He asked as he pulled out and drove down the street. "You despised the idea when I dropped you off."
"I despise a lot of things." And at the moment, my brother too. He nods.
"True."

As we enter the training room, I find Kai doing sit-ups. When he was doing the 'ups' part he stares at me before blinking. "Oh, hey Amulet!" He stands and grabs a towel that had be hung on the handles attached to the treadmill. "Didn't expect you too come here so early." I shrug, leaving it as my response. "I know you hated running laps, but just so you can heat up, go do two." I groan, before jogging around the mats. "Push ups, fifteen of them." I sighed at the order I was given as soon as I finished the laps. The push ups were easy enough. The first half hour I was there was just stretching.

"Today we're going to work on hand-to-hand combat. Next private lesson we'll do weapons, see which one is best for you, then we'll get to magic," He explains. "Show me your stance. I heard you do Kickboxing." I raise an eyebrow but do as he says. "Okay. That's good just raise your fists a little higher, straighten a bit, shift your feet... okay, good!"
I rolled my eyes.
"Now throw a punch!" Without hesitation, I aim for his throat. He catches my fist, inches away from my target. "You're fast, that can be an advantage."
"Ag-"

And at that moment; the wall shatters
