Sam met up with me after he left school. "So what do you want me to do, Sam!" I shout, suddenly standing up. "I can't go back there to Jeremy!"

"Calm down, Am, let me figure this out." I sighed in exasperation and rubbed my temple. "Yes you are."

I look up. "What?"

"You're going back. Jeremy can't hurt you if you defend yourself. You've literally got the magic in you." My mouth gapes open.

"You expect me to hurt him to get my way?"

"Yes, yes I do. How else are you going to survive him? You could easily like, oh I don't know-freeze him, burn him, threaten him f-"

"I don't know Sam, I j-"

"Do it, Amulet, because I can't help you anyway else."

I sigh and nod. "Fine."

When we get back home, I'm immidiately stormed by Jeremy. "Where the hell were you, huh?" I glance at Sam nervously and he nods. So, I hold my arm towards him and blink. Once, twice. "Stay back, Jeremy, or I swear to the gods that I will harm you."

"Please, you don-" I shoot a blast of air at him, knocking him against the wall and knocking the air out of him. He wheezes. "I told you to stay back," I coldly stare at him and run upstairs. Sam follows closely behind, not giving Jeremy a second glance. When we were safely in my room I show the happiness that was bubbling inside of me. "Sam, I did it!"

"I know. I saw it. And heard it. How hard did you throw him?"

I shrug. "Hard enough, I don't think I broke any bones." I hear Jeremy coughing downstairs. "Yup. Hard enough."

"Damn. Keep me on your nice list."

"Sure thing. Do you think we would be able to re-register me in school? I need something to do throughout the day, and dealing with Jeremy is not ideal."

"We can try, we could probably make Jeremy do it."

"That'll take some kind of special crap."

"The special kind of crap you have."

I give him a look. "What's that supposed to mean?"

"Do we really want to go through this again? Because I'm kind of tired of explaining this." He groans out, obviously someone is tired. It makes sense though. Somehow, it was nine o'clock. Huh, last time I checked it was only four.

I sigh. "Whatever, Sam, I'll see you in the morning. Goodnight."

"Good... night? Am, last time I checked it was-"

"Four o'clock, I know. Weird, right?"

Sam nods slowly. "Yeah... Goodnight, Amulet."

I leave his room and blow out a puff of ice cold air. My hands were so cold they were numb and I swear, if someone poured water on me it would freeze. Jeremy was still wheezing as I walked to my room. He was just being a baby, now. I didn't throw him that hard. I'm pretty sure I fell asleep under three new blankets that came out of no where that night.

What's up amigos! Long time no see... Sorry, too soon? I know, I know, I suck. I haven't been able to update lately due to friends and family and kickboxing and Christmas things.
