【Don't say thank you or please
I do what I want when I'm wanting to】Monday rolled around and Y/N clearly had done nothing. She knew it, everyone of her classmates knew it and they were all waiting for her confrontation with Aizawa. Everyone but Y/N was waiting for it. Y/N didn't want to have any sort of confrontation with Aizawa. She wanted nothing to do with that guy. Weren't teachers that were this young supposed to be really chill and cool? Aizawa clearly wasn't any of that. He was just obsessed with ordering people around and asserting his own authority over everyone else and it was honestly starting to annoy Y/N.
Still, the confrontation was going to happen at some point and Y/N wasn't really sure when, so she was probably better off preparing for it. Except she had no idea how the hell to prepare for a confrontation like that. She hadn't even thought about it all weekend. She had gone to bed straight after school on Saturday just to wake up in time to go out for some drinks. She knew she should have probably stayed in and slept some more, but hey - she wasn't in Musutafu every day and with the way Aizawa hated her already, she doubted she'd be here much longer.
The thing was that Aizawa didn't only hate her. He hated all his students equally which was pretty odd considering that he had chosen to become a teacher. The more Y/N thought about it, the more it just annoyed her that he was so boring all the damn time. She sometimes wished he would just loosen up a little, so her (and her classmates) didn't have to suffer so damn much. And maybe that would also soften him up a bit. At the moment he was way too tough - he seemed to stubbornly want to keep everyone in line and his pride would probably not allow him to expel any of his students. He'd probably see that as a failure or something.
Either way, Y/N was not in the mood for a confrontation. She hadn't slept nearly as much as she had planned to and she was still tired and of course she hadn't written that stupid assignment, because that would be ridiculous and humiliating and she wan't going to do any of that. But Y/N also wasn't in the right mindset to be arguing with Aizawa right now. She just wanted to have some quiet time. Just like an hour or so to herself, maybe smoke a cigarette to calm her nerves. But class was in five minutes and Y/N's only chance would be to skip class and have the confrontation with Aizawa another time. She was currently debating if that would be worth it...
But if she was honest, the decision wasn't that hard to make. She needed a break, she didn't want to see Aizawa and she wanted a smoke. She'd just go hide in the bathroom and sneak out of the window to smoke once the bell had rung. Easy. So Y/N got up from her seat, grabbed her backpack and made her way out of the classroom, well aware of the eyes of her classmates that were on her. She didn't really care, if she was honest. They were only here for the drama anyway.
"Y/N, where are you going?" one of them called after her, just before she was out of the door. Y/N didn't bother turning back to answer. She needed to hurry if she didn't want to run into Aizawa on her way to the bathroom. He probably wouldn't let her go if he caught her sneaking out.
But thankfully she made it to the bathroom, before she saw Aizawa anywhere. Thank God. She quickly disappeared in one of the stalls and leaned against the wall, taking a few deep breaths. Y/N had never actually skipped school. Never ever. This was the first time in her life and it was giving her a really weird adrenaline rush. She hadn't expected it to be this exciting to skip class. Maybe she should have started doing it much, much sooner. Back when she was still in school for real.
She waited in there for a good few minutes before she heard the bell ringing, signalling the start of class. And that meant that Y/N didn't have to wait much longer before she could climb out of the bathroom window and have a nice, relaxing smoke all by herself, instead of having to argue with Aizawa. She wasn't even sure if she enjoyed arguing with him or not. Most days she liked bickering with him, but some days he could get really scary and Y/N hated it. Whoever let this guy become a teacher clearly didn't think about how traumatised kids would be.
Either way, it didn't matter anymore. Y/N figured she had waited long enough and went to open the window, backpack still on her shoulders. It didn't take long to get the window open, despite it being a little jammed and Y/N took her backpack off, throwing it out of the window first, before climbing through the small gap and landing more or less gently on her feet outside the bathroom window. She looked around herself. The area was pretty open, but it shouldn't matter, because everyone else was supposed to be in class right now. She'd be fine.
She rummaged through her backpack for a while until she managed to find a cigarette and her lighter. She leaned against the wall of the school building and put the cigarette in her mouth, lighting it quickly and taking a long drag from it. She closed her eyes, feeling the smoke burning her lungs. God, she needed this. She needed some time off. This school was insane and the most insane person in this entire school was Aizawa, hands down. Y/N was sure the other classes didn't get as much homework and assignments as her class did and she was blaming Aizawa.
"So that's where you were. I have to say if you're planning to skip class you should try and hide a little better." she suddenly heard a voice next to her. Y/N jumped and almost dropped her cigarette. Next to her was the devil himself - Aizawa. What the fuck was he doing here? How had he found her so quickly? Damn it. This was exactly what she had wanted to avoid this whole time.
"Didn't think you'd miss me that much." Y/N just answered, giving him a smug grin. She could see him glaring, before he reached out to her and took the cigarette out of her mouth, throwing it to the ground and stepping on it to extinguish it. Y/N was watching him, a little sad that the entire cigarette was just wasted now. She wasn't a heavy smoker, but she liked smoking occasionally.
"Trust me, I didn't miss you much at all. But you're still in my class and when you just go missing like that, I have to go looking for you. I assume you didn't do your homework again?" he wanted to know.
"Damn, Mr. Aizawa, the thing with the cigarette was completely unnecessary..." Y/N muttered, hoping he'd forget about the stupid assignment that she had never done. She just didn't want to do it. Couldn't he give her an F on the assignment and just let it be? Not like she cared much. But it seemed like Aizawa cared a whole lot about every single one of his students.
"It was not unnecessary. You can kill yourself off campus, I don't care, but you're not allowed to smoke on school grounds. Now, did you do the assignment or not?" he wanted to know. Y/N sighed.
"I'll give you three guesses. You should get it right with that." Y/N answered. Aizawa nodded slowly. He did not look happy whatsoever.
"Alright, I'll give you a week detention for that stupid answer. If you don't tell me anything, you're getting another week on top of that, until you are ready to show some respect and give me a normal answer." he said.
"Are you for fucking real?"
"Two weeks."
"Fine, fine, I didn't do it. I didn't have time and I didn't want to do it. I'm not just here to do homework, for fuck's sake. I have a life beyond going to school." Y/N said. Two weeks of detention... insanity. Absolute insanity. Y/N already knew that she wasn't going to go for two weeks. She might play along for one week, but not more than that. Hell, no. Aizawa was going to lecture her all the damn time and Y/N didn't have the energy for that. This whole thing was a stupid idea and she should have never agreed to it. Never. But it was too late now and she had to go through with it. Maybe that was the whole point of the experience - showing her that anything was better than this and that she should get off her ass and do something with her life.
"Alright. You'll get an F for it, but you'll still be doing the work. I'll see you in detention this afternoon." he said and walked away. Y/N leaned back against the wall and groaned, before getting another cigarette out of her pack and lighting it. Fuck what Aizawa said. She really needed this one now.
