【Do you regret
The things we shared that I'll never forget?】Y/N wished she had thought more before she had made out with her teacher. She especially wished for that when the next morning rolled around and she had to go to school - to his homeroom class. She didn't regret it - she didn't regret a single thing. But she really wished that she had thought more about how they would handle things to save themselves all this awkwardness the next morning. Nothing had been awkward that night, but that just made it worse in the morning.
Y/N didn't even have a lot of time to hide the hickeys that Shouta - Mr. Aizawa - had left on her neck. She also would have to get used to calling him Mr. Aizawa again, at least while they were in school, even though he had offered her to call him by his first name. School rules were different than any other rules, after all. And she really didn't want to get him into trouble. She liked him, she really did, she just... she had no idea how to go on after all this - with her life, with high school, with the bet, with this whole thing with Aizawa... hell, she didn't even know whether this was a one-time thing or more than that. She hoped it was more than that.
Either way, she had gotten a lot of odd looks when she arrived in class that morning. She wasn't sure whether it was because she showed up in the first place or whether it was the hickeys - probably a mix of both. Either way, she chose to ignore all the rude stares and sat down at her desk, getting out her notebooks and trying to focus on her notes from the last week. Not that she had taken many, but she might as well pretend to be doing something productive while she was replaying the last night in her head over and over again. She hadn't stopped doing it since she got home.
She and Shouta had made out for a good while until they realised what they were doing and that it was getting late. Y/N had finished her beer quickly and Shouta had insisted on walking her home, while apologising profusely and trying to tell her that he didn't know why he was so into her and that he would normally never do this since she was a student and that she should tell him if anything went too far and if she wanted to transfer classes, that would be okay too and all that bullshit. When they were walking home, they kept stopping randomly to make out more. That's when Y/N got most of her hickeys (and she was pretty sure she left some on him as well).
And that was all that happened. Shouta brought her home and then he went to his own home and Y/N was both frustrated and really happy about how things had worked out for her. And she was tired as hell. She went to take a shower and crawled into bed and that's when she kept replaying the entire encounter over and over and over again until she fell asleep. And in the morning she realised that she would have to hide her hickeys and that she would have to see him in school and act like nothing had happened and that it would be awkward.
Hiding her hickeys hadn't worked too well for Y/N. Most of them were still showing, even under several layers of makeup. It was ridiculous and at some point Y/N had just given up. She didn't really care what her classmates would say. If they wanted to gossip about her then they should gossip about her. It wasn't her problem if they decided to be snooping assholes that meddled in everyone's business. And Y/N figured that being unreasonably salty with them would help her keep her distance lest she be tempted to tell anyone of her exploits.
"What the hell happened to you, L/N?" she heard Shizuka asking next to her. Y/N turned to him with raised eyebrows.
"What do you think happened?" she replied. Shizuka laughed and shook his head, leaning back in his chair.
"You seem pretty annoyed today. So it wasn't as good as it looks?" he wanted to know. Y/N rolled her eyes.
"It was much better than it looks. And it was also none of your business." she told him. Shizuka laughed once more.
"Sheesh, no need to be so defensive about it. I'm glad you were having fun, L/N. Anyway, I'm sure Aizawa will be very disappointed that you moved on." he said. Y/N shrugged and turned away again. She didn't want to say anything about his comments about Aizawa. Not before she knew what the hell the story was and just how awkward Shouta was going to be around her this morning.
"Look, Shizuka, if you're jealous you can just say so. I'm not judging you for that, it's only a little bit your fault that you can't get any." Y/N replied, before closing her notebook. No point trying to pretend to be studying anymore. Class was going to start in a few minutes anyway and Y/N was dreading it.
"Ouch, man. That one really hurt. But just for the record, I'm not jealous." he answered. Y/N grinned, not even looking at him.
"Sure, if you say so." she said. Of course Shizuka was jealous. She had heard him talk to his best friend the other day about how unfair it was that he still didn't have a girlfriend yet. It was kind of sad, if Y/N was honest, but Shizuka was really not very self-aware. He just came across as incredibly desperate and of course no girl at high school age was going to find that endearing.
Shizuka looked like he was about to say something when Shouta walked into the classroom. He seemed pretty flustered before he even looked at Y/N and she already knew that this was going to be awkward as hell. Shouta looked like a whole mess. His hair was more unkempt than usual and he looked like he had barely gotten any sleep that night. It was not a good look. Y/N did her best not to stare, but she couldn't help it. Shouta was a trainwreck of a human being this morning.
And then he looked up at her and his eyes wandered over the hickeys on her neck and a long and awkward silence followed. A little too long and a little too awkward. Y/N was sure that everyone was noticing it, not just her. She suddenly felt like everyone was watching her again and judging her and like she was on some sort of stage. She hated it. She hated it so much. There was no way that they hadn't all figured it out already. They all knew that her and Shouta had a thing. They probably even knew what kind of thing it was going to be - more than Y/N knew at this point.
"Good morning, everyone. We don't have a lot to cover for homeroom today, so we'll make it quick and you can have a few extra minutes to study or work on homework or whatever." Shouta then finally said, breaking the tense silence. Y/N was so grateful that he had said something. There was still so much tension in the air and it was slowly killing her, but it wasn't as bad as before. Now there was some sort of movement in the class - students scrambling for their notebooks, opening their pencil cases, sitting up straight. It was much easier to deal with the awkwardness like this.
"Right, first of all we'll be talking about your midterms and how they're going to work..." Shouta started and Y/N zoned out. She kept watching him, though. She still really enjoyed watching what he was doing, the way he moved, the way he talked. She liked hearing the sound of his voice. She liked hearing the way he phrased things and she loved the way he looked at her every once in a while. She could see that he still wanted her and that he was fighting against it. He was doing his best not to look at her, not to think about her. But it was obvious it wasn't working.
And despite it making the whole situation even more awkward for Y/N right now, she also thought it was one of the most amazing things - that she had this weird power to ruin Shouta if she wanted to. Not that she wanted to do that, but the possibilities she had were fascinating to her. She had him wrapped around her little finger, and he was unable to resist her. At least one of her plans seemed to still be working out well.
