【Dies Illa, Velut Luna
Dona Es Virtum】

Y/N had spent the rest of the day (and all of her detention) seething over Aizawa. She hated him. She really, really hated him. When she had first seen him she wasn't even so sure whether he might be chill or not, but she had quickly made up her mind and she hated him with her entire soul now. She couldn't imagine that there was anything he could do to redeem himself. She didn't even want him to redeem himself. Her hate for Aizawa was the one thing that was fuelling her right now and she didn't want it to go away. She wanted to make his life as difficult as possible, especially after that first hour of detention she had sat through on Monday.

Aizawa had really tried to make her write that damn essay and Y/N had refused the entire time, but it had been so draining that it really had ruined her entire day. She barely remembered getting home and falling asleep and before she knew it, it was another day where she'd have to sit around doing stupid work and training and just... it was so exhausting. Why had she thought that this was going to be a good idea? This was nothing like her old high school.

And once she was done with today's detention, there would be more detention on top of that, and if she fucked up even once more then she'd get even more detention. This wasn't fun. This wasn't fun at all. She wished she had just found an easier way to get expelled, because from how things were going she wasn't going to get expelled at all. Not if Aizawa kept being stubborn about his stupid detention. She was going to be in detention for the rest of the semester and that would mean she'd lose her bet. Why was it so damn difficult to get expelled?

In Y/N's mind, it shouldn't have been this hard to get expelled. This was a school a lot of people wanted to go to, so the standards should have been really high. And Y/N wasn't doing a lot to justify her existence in this prestigious high school. She was actively working against it, actually. So she really had no idea why she was still here and the only thing that would make sense to her was that Aizawa was somehow convinced he was going to be able to make her a worthy member of society or whatever. It was kind of stupid and she felt a little sorry for him, because he had no idea that this was just some dumb bet. But also, he was kind of an asshole to everyone. Maybe he deserved all of this and more for being such a dick to his students.

Either way, thinking about it was the only thing that kept Y/N somewhat sane during detention, because it was basically just her and Aizawa in there with Aizawa staring her down, probably somehow trying to make her do her work via telepathy or something. And Y/N was just refusing to do anything. So they were just sitting there, staring at each other for about an hour and it was the most tedious and uncomfortable and exhausting thing that Y/N had done in her entire life. She wished she could just get out of there and take a nice walk through town, get a drink somewhere, maybe some ice cream, take a long nap... anything but sitting in detention.

"Y/N, I really don't know why you keep refusing to do your work. It's not that hard. Just do the essay, you have all the time in the world now. It's not even getting graded anymore." Aizawa said to her, after he sighed. It seemed like he was getting tired of this as well, but just didn't want to give up, since he had started this entire thing. Y/N would have been happy to stop this awful fight she was having with him, if only he would leave her alone and stop picking on her like this.

"If it's not getting graded, why the hell should I do it? I've already failed it, it's not like it's going to do anything for me, if I do it now." Y/N replied. She wondered why he was so insistent on her writing this stupid essay. Sure, he had no idea that she had learned all of this last year already, but shouldn't it be her problem if she decided she didn't want to learn? It was his responsibility to teach her, yes, but that only went so far. And Y/N thought it was pretty funny that he was so insistent on this specific assignment. It wasn't even a difficult topic.

If this hadn't been a question of personal pride, Y/N could have easily written this essay in like two hours tops. She had written a similar thing before and she did pretty well in it. All of this stuff was ingrained in her ever since she had left her old high school. She could have saved herself this hassle and just done the thing, but Aizawa had to make it personal and now she was trying to make a point of not doing her work. And the thing was - Aizawa was absolutely eating it up. It was almost like he didn't see that she was just messing around with him and that she wasn't seriously this stubborn. He was taking all of this way too seriously and it was both annoying and hilarious at the same time. But it was a little more annoying than hilarious.

"It's an important topic and you're going to need the knowledge from this essay in your later life. Do you think I'm making you do assignments because I get some sort of kick out of it?" he wanted to know. Y/N thought for a second... well, she knew that this was all necessary and everything, but... she had to get expelled. That was her only mission and if Aizawa was going to stand in the way of that, well then he would just have to suffer. No matter if she felt sorry for him or not.

"If it's so important, why do you make us research it? Why don't you just teach us instead... you know, since that's your job? As a teacher?" Y/N asked with raised eyebrows. Aizawa looked at her as if he didn't know whether she was serious or not. Y/N thought she was able to see the moment when his soul left his body and she was actually starting to feel kind of bad.

"Are you being serious right now?" he wanted to know.

"Yeah. Do you think I'd ask otherwise?" she replied with a shrug. This was getting ridiculous. Why was she even putting up with detention? She was an adult. She could do whatever the hell she wanted, so why was she staying here? Once she realised that, Y/N started gathering up her things and packing them away, while Aizawa was watching her, eyes wide open.

"If you do the research yourself, you'll be able to learn much more about it and it'll stay with you much better. That's why I want you to research the topic and write an essay about it. Because it's that important. Also, what the hell are you doing?" he asked her. Y/N looked up, as she was zipping up her backpack.

"What does it look like?"

"I sure hope that you're not about to do what I think you're doing..." he murmured. Y/N grinned at him and got up, slinging her backpack over her shoulder. What the hell was he going to do? Physically restrain her? If he did that, she would easily be able to complain about it. And he had just started out as a teacher - there was nothing that he could do to stop her from leaving.

"What are you going to do about it?"

"Y/N, if you are leaving now, I'll have to give you more detention, you know that, right? You don't want that. I don't want that. You better stay right where you are, I mean it." he told her, almost growling.

"Sorry, Mr. Aizawa, but I'm just not into this whole detention thing anymore. I'm going to leave and do something that's actually going to be useful for me. See you in class tomorrow or something." Y/N told him, as she made her way out of the classroom. It seemed like Aizawa hadn't really thought she was actually going to do this, which definitely gave Y/N the advantage.

"Y/N, you better come back right fucking now or...!"

Y/N didn't hear the rest of what he was saying, because the door fell shut behind her as she made her way through the hallway and out of the school building. Aizawa could go fuck himself for all she cared.
