"My Cue."

Kieran's POV -

"Kieran." Someone whispered. I ignored them. "Kieran." They spoke again. "Kieran we have to leave." The feminine voice told me. I opened my eyes turning to face them. Athalia was on the edge of my bed looking down at me.

"I'm not going." I brushed her off. "What are you gonna do here, huh?" She bugged. "She won't let you in to see her, she won't even let me in and I'm her bestfriend." She admitted.

"If she's not going, neither am I." I put my pillow over my head. Minutes later the pillow was torn away from my head revealing my father standing above me.

"Get your ass up and get dressed." He ordered. "No dad I'm not going." I really wasn't in the mood for this. "Oh you're going even if I have to drag you all the way there." He threatened.

"Fuck! Fine!" I stood up from my bed slamming my bathroom door. I turned on the hot water to my shower which only made me want to go back to sleep. Today I was being forced to go back to Hogwarts.

Which meant no ocean, no sleeping in, and no Ember.

She refused to return to Hogwarts when she threw away her letter and slammed the door in the ministry's face after they tried speaking to her yesterday. How was I supposed to go to school and leave Ember here when she's most likely going to commit suicide while I'm gone?

I stepped out of my shower my feet meting the cold tile flooring. My dark curls in my eyes and I shook them out of the way. I put a towel over my damp hair drying it. Then I put the towel on my waist walking out of my bathroom.
Bella was sat on my bed waiting for me.

"Is Ember okay?" I rushed. Bella and I didn't really speak much even though she was my bestfriends little sister. "Yeah Embers fine." Her eyebrows knit together and she seemed a little hurt by my question.

"Okay...what's up?" I moved on looking down at her from my bathroom door. "I wanted to see if you were okay." Bella was the sweetest person in our group. "I'm fine." I didn't like talking about my emotions much.

Especially this week. "Don't bullshit me like you do everyone else." Her voice was solid. She patted the spot on my bed beside her, urging me to take a seat. I sit next to her making sure my towels grip is tight.

Her large blue eyes searched mine, waiting for me to speak. "Uhm I feel bad...like very bad for Em. She just lost the only biological parent she had left." I admitted to Bella.

She nods her head in agreement. "Don't stress over her too much. We still have to live our lives too. She got over her mother in a month, maybe it'll take a little longer but she'll get over her dads death too." I was irritated at how much she was downplaying her situation.

But I didn't say anything.

"And you have to get over her too." That didn't just irritate me it infuriated me. "I mean this in the best way possible, but she'll only break your heart Kieran." She placed her hand on my shoulder.

I turned my head to look at her. A smile formed on her plump lips.

They weren't as plump as Embers.

She leaned in her lips placed over mine slightly.

Her lips didn't feel like Embers.

After a few seconds she pulled away.

She didn't reject me like Ember.

But I could never have Ember.

She was right. "How much time do you think we have before we leave?" I looked toward the front of my bed hinting at her. I noticed how she blushed a little.

"I think we only have like 20 minutes, but later tonight...I'd love to." I nodded getting up from the bed. "Then it's a date." I winked at her before closing my closing door.

Why do you have to be such a manwhore?

I would ask myself all the time. But it was the only way I knew to get Ember off my mind. I put on a black V neck t shirt and black jeans before walking back out to my room.

Bella was gone when I looked at my bed. I shrugged brushing my teeth and grabbing my trunk. I left my room, making my way down the steps and looking at the pictures on the wall of my mother.

"Kieran let's go!" I heard Scorpius yell at me from the bottom of the steps. I rolled my eyes, slowly going down the rest of the steps. "Hey bud." Scor put his elbow on my shoulder. I shoved him off me.

"What's got you in such a bad mood?" He wondered out loud. "Nothing." I replied blankly. Our parents entered the room, all of them looked like complete shit.

Mrs. Malfoy had mascara running down her face, Mister Nott was frowning, Mr. Malfoy had an anxious look plastered on his face, and my dad looked angry as always.

They all glanced at the now cleaned carpet where Blaise's body used to be. The Dynasty's and I just looking at eachother uncomfortably. "She'll show up right?" Lilah obliviously asked.

"Sure Lilah." Scorpius tried his best to reassure the naive girl. It was truly pathetic.

"Kieran." I heard my father say. I was zoned out while Athalia and my father both had odd looks on their faces. Hinting for me to follow them.

They led me to my father study, my father grabbing me by my face immediately. He looked in my eyes, checking the back of my head, and chanting Voldemort's name under his breath. I gave him a confused look.

"What's going on?" I interrogated them. "You haven't heard any strange voices lately right?" My father asked. "No?" I let out very confused. "What's all this about?" I demanded an answer.

"We heard what you were thinking dumbass!" My sister yelled. "It wasn't like you son." My father noted. "So what? I'm not allowed to think Lilahs acting stupid? She was! Of course Embers not coming!" I hollered, laughing at the audacity of it.

"Riddles! We need to go!" I heard the booming voice of Mister Nott. "That's my cue." I slammed open the door to my dads office, rushing out the front door.

And packing ourselves into the limousine. Bella sat on my left by the door. Her hand resting comfortably on my forearm. She traced over my tattoos, while she rested her head on my shoulder.

It was awkward and wrong considering Scorpius was on my right and watching everything.
