"I'll be at the bottom."

Kieran's POV ~

I was in the middle of the dance floor. Everyone had arrived shortly after we left my fathers study. Aspen and Atlas were off to the side practically devouring the food set out.

Then I saw her.

Walking down the steps, she was mesmerizing. Everyone turned to look at her. It was hard not to when she looked so good. She was captivating. She met me in the middle of the dance floor.

Her hands on my shoulders. Mine around her waist as music played. She had a smile planted on her face. I pulled her in closer to me. Her body pressing against mine as she danced around the floor.

"I'm sorry I snapped at you earlier." She apologized. "Don't worry about it, I understand." I reassured, placing a light kiss to her lips. We smiled against eachothers lips.

"Merlin I think I'm falling for you." I let out. Immediately regretting what I said. She glanced up at me through her lashes.

"I'll be at the bottom to catch you when your finished falling." And with that we kissed again. Passion overflowing inside us. Need erupting in our lungs and hope surging through our veins.

Hoping this would work, hoping we weren't dreaming, hoping we could actually be together.

I heard a timid faint voice behind us. "Uhm Ember..." we stopped dancing. Both of us turning to the voice. "Oh Aspen, right?" Em questioned. Aspen nodded her head.

"Is everything alright?" Emmy wondered. "Yeah but I was just wondering if maybe you have an extra dress. If not that's fine...people keep staring at us..." she admitted.

Ember looked down at her outfit, it was a simple black skirt and white t shirt. "I'm sure I could find you something." Emmy smiled brightly at her sister.

"I'll be back soon Kie." She kissed my cheek. "I'll be waiting princess." She sent me a playful glare before taking her sister up the steps. Her brother following close behind them. Then there was Bella, walking up to me.

For fucks sake.

Embers POV ~

I walked into my room at Riddle Manor. My sister and brother trailing behind me. Atlas shut the door after we were all in the room.

I found the spare dress Scorpius bought for me in case Kieran's choice was bad. It was hanging in my closet, so I took it out. I placed the dress in Aspens arms as a toothy smile broke out on her face.

The resemblance between us slightly scared me. "I think Kieran may have an extra outfit." I told Atlas as he stood off to the side.

"Thanks but no thanks. I don't mind the staring." He told me. I nodded my head slightly at him, grinning. A moment later Aspen had come out of the bathroom in the dress. "Here sit I'll do your hair." She sat in my makeup chair in front of the desk. We sat in a comfortable silence.

"What was our mother like?" She asked. I thought for a moment. The thought of my parents making my heart ache.

"She was kind...and the best mother anyone could ever ask for." I admitted. "I wish I could've had that mother." Aspen muttered back. A sad frown forming on her lips.

"So is Kieran your boyfriend?" Atlas spoke up. "It's complicated." I responded unsure of what to say.

"Would you do anything for him?" Aspen randomly asked. I was taken back by the question at first.

"I would walk through fire, and I would give him every last breath till there was nothing left. If his heart was failing I'd give him mine in a second. And if I had to choose between my life and his, I'd jump from roof without a second thought." I was unsure of how to answer her question. But it felt right to answer how I did.
