"Hide and Seek night."

The clock struck 10 as the invited Slytherin students stood in the common room. Ember had just came out of her dorm room with Athalia and Delilah behind her.

"Who are you guys partners with?" Ember asked her friends as they made it to the bottom of the steps. Coven hadn't shown yet. "This new girl I'm talking to." Athalia informed with a grin. Ember winked at her as Delilah cheered her on.

"I'm with Scorpius." Delilah mentioned which got her the same reaction. "We saw Bella earlier and made up. Are you and her partners?" Delilah wondered happy that her friends are chill again. "She's mine." Kieran spoke as he made his way over.

"First off nobody owns me.Second off we aren't friends. Third off my partner just got here." All of their eyes trailed over to Coven who was taller than most of the people blocking his way.

But he weaved himself through the crowd over to the group. "Miss me Diamond?" Coven cheekily teased her. Athalia and Delilah shocked but very excited to see how it goes. "How presumptuous of you." Ember playfully rolled her eyes. "My apologies let me rephrase myself. I missed you Diamond." Coven rephrased making the girl blush.

"Athalia Riddle." Athalia introduced herself as they shook hands. Scorpius coming over once he found his friends. "Delilah Nott." Coven shook her hand next. "Who's this?" Scorpius questioned with a friendly smile. "Scor, this is Coven." Athalia spoke for Ember. "Nice to meet you man." The boys conversed as Kieran grew even more annoyed.

Storming away and standing up on a table. "Hey! Listen up!" He hollered to the students as the chatters grew quiet. "We'll divide into two teams. Seekers and hiders." The group of friends stood in the back of the crowd as Kieran announced the rules. "Right side are Seekers, Left side are hiders." Five groups were Seekers and Nine were hiders.

"Rules are simple. Seekers cannot hide from the professors but you can run. Hiders if you're caught by professors it still counts as elimination. No hiding in the common room and if you pussy out and go back to the common room for even a second you're out." He explained to everyone as the adrenaline began to build up.

"Alright Hiders you get three minutes that start now! You make it till midnight and you win." With that students began filing out of the room quietly. Coven and Ember going along with them since they're hiders.

Their hands intertwined before they took off down the halls. Students playing all aimlessly running through the halls before a professor found them. "Where should we hide?" Ember quietly squeaked out. Her nerves grew as she seconds passed.

She was terrified of getting caught. "My dads classroom. I told him about tonight and he gave me the keys." Coven swung the keys in front of her face with a grin. "Let's go, we have to hurry if we don't want to get caught." He urged trying to pull her along.

Ember wasn't sure if her lungs could take it but took the risk. They turned the corner, bolting through the hallways until they stood in front of the dark arts classroom. By then Ember was heaving while bent over. Trying to take deep breaths.

She handed Coven the keys and he unlocked the door. Right as he opened it they heard the chattering of professors just a couple feet away. He took Embers hand, pulling them both inside and closing the door shut.

The moon shun through the windows lighting up the room with its glow. Embers breathing had sped up making it close to impossible to get any air in. "Are you alright Diamond?" Covens face etched into concern.

She pulled her inhaler out of her back pocket and placed it in her mouth. Counting before pressing down to release the oxygen to her lungs. After doing it once more her breathing regulated.

Coven stood beside her the whole time silently letting her do what she needs. "I'm okay." Ember reassured while placing the inhaler back in her pocket. "Im sorry I didn't realize you had asthma. I would've carried you." He explained as she followed him to the front of the class.

"Although I'm quite disappointed." He trailed on as he leaned back on the brown desk. "Why are you disappointed?" Ember sat beside him with her eyebrows pulled together. "I was hoping I'd be the first to take your breath away tonight." Coven replied making Ember look away as her cheeks warmed.

When she looked back over at Coven a warm smile was placed on his lips. His dark eyes running over her face. "What?" She wondered as he continued to analyze the details of her face. "Your lips purse into a smile when you blush. And your nose scrunches up just a little." Coven explained without taking his eyes off her.

For the second time in the last ten minutes Embers breath was taken away. She sucked in a sharp breath as goosebumps formed over her skin. "How long are you gonna wait to kiss me?" Ember bravely questioned.

She so badly wanted him to kiss her.
To wrap his arms around her.
To touch her.

"Until your ready." Coven replied. He wanted to kiss her too but not until she had time to recover from Kieran. "I'm ready." Ember told him directly after. "I wish you were Diamond. But I Can wait. Let me wait. Make me wait." He practically begged the girl beside him.

"How long do I make you wait?" Disappointment coiled in her stomach. "The Fifth of October." Embers eyes widened slightly as her mouth fell open. "My birthday? How did you know?" It came out in a shocked whisper.

"I have my ways. In two weeks I will kiss you." Coven swore with a sweet smile. They were merely inches apart from eachother now. Ember craved for him to give in and kiss her.

Before either of them could do anything the door swung open revealing Kieran. His fists clenched once he laid eyes on the scene. Thighs touching, chests barely brushing together, lips almost locked.

"You've got to be fucking kidding me." Kieran scoffed as his jaw locked. He stormed forward, launching his fist back. Colliding with Covens cheek. Kieran held on tightly to Covens shirt collar. Blood dripping from Covens grinning lips.

"I'm not gonna fight you Kieran." He let out a breathy laugh. "Not in front of Ember. You want to do it another time without her watching then we'll do it then." Coven strictly told the angered boy. "Kieran get off him." Embers furious voice demanded.

"You have a type, I'll give you that." Kieran mocked her. They did have some similarities look wise. Both dark haired with matching eyes. Tall although Coven still had to look down at Kieran. And they both wanted the same girl.

But Coven was nothing like Kieran.

"You aren't even half the man Coven is." Ember insulted her veins surging with hatred. "The sociopathic killer? Your standards must be extremely low Emmy." Kieran scoffed speaking with a humorous tone.

She had no idea what he was talking about. Covens eyes closed, silently groaning. "What?" Ember gaped with a pained expression. Kieran released Covens shirt with a proud look.Coven peered over at Ember before hesitantly leaving the room.

Kieran bathing in the glory of ruining this.
Ember with a sick feeling of betrayal in her stomach.
