You woke up to the sight of Leiptr plonked out on the floor of the room Cloud Retainer provided to you. He wasn't very far from the bed he had been provided either, and he was laying face down. Did Cloud Retainer's chattering exhaust him so much he missed the bed? Bitterly, you remembered the events of yesterday. Cloud Retainer talked for what felt like forever, with Shenhe threateningly drinking tea. You didn't know how Shenhe managed to make drinking tea threatening, but she sure did it.

Waking up to your staring, Leiptr rolled over and sat up to meet your eyes, "Good morning, milady. Is there anything you need?"

"Yes, actually," you watched as Leiptr perked up, ready to serve your every desire, "Can you please make sure to sleep in your bed tonight?"

"Oh, did I disturb you? My apologies," Leiptr bowed his head stiffly, "I am used to the stone beds from the Abyss."

... so he didn't miss? He chose to sleep on the floor? You frowned, "The beds are made of stone?"

"The scions of the Abyss do not need comfort, nor rest. Therefore, all bedding is made of stone, to save resources better placed elsewhere," Leiptr explained.

"... Well, that will need to be changed," surely the attitude of the creatures in the Abyss would improve if they actually got to have a good sleep in a proper bed.

"If my Lady desires it to be so," Leiptr bowed again, a gentle smile gracing his face. He stood up straight, "Would you like me to assist in dressing you this morning, milady?"

"... sure," you didn't see no reason to say no.

Once everything was settled and done, you were once again met with Cloud Retainer. Hopefully today she would talk you to death. As much as you were grateful for her offer in letting you stay here and not exiling Leiptr, you heard enough stories about baby Ganyu to last you more than a lifetime.

"Good, you have awoken. One was wondering just how much sleep those from the Abyss Order need," Cloud Retainer commented, not meaning anything offensive by it. Shenhe was once again drinking tea, although she seemed more amicable and less intent on staring daggers at Leiptr.

Abruptly, she finished her cup and stood, "Master, I will be leaving for my training."

"Yes, it is important to be prudent in one's training," Cloud Retainer flapped her wings, "One wishes you well on this fine day."

"Your kindness is appreciated," Shenhe said. She looked over at you and gave a nod of acknowledgement before leaving, "Enjoy your day."

You didn't take her indifference to heart- that's just how she was. Cloud Retainer had told you all about it, so even if you hadn't known, you most certainly did now.

"It would do well to acquaint yourself to Jueyun Karst," Cloud Retainer suggested to you, unaware that you no life'd Genshin. You knew this place like the back of your hand. "One would be displeased if you were to get lost somewhere one could not retrieve you. But leave your servant here for the day."

Leiptr took offense to those words, his eyebrows furrowing angrily, "And for what reason would that be? My duty as a butler is to protect-"

Cloud Retainer flapped her wings hard enough to silence Leiptr, "Quiet down! One will not have this racket in one's own abode! One is asking you to stay here for the day to prevent further headache with the other Adepti, while one discusses with them your presence. You will be given tasks to do here, while one is not present."

Oh, so Leiptr would be doing housekeeping then. Well, he did just call himself your butler...

You nodded at Leiptr, signifying to him that it was alright. He caved, although his jaw was clenched in frustration, "... I understand."
