After we went Instagram it official, we decided to go to an Italian restaurant after we'd checked out. We handed the keys in at reception and headed to Masons car, as he drove us to the restaurant. We parked up and went inside to be seated at a table near the window. We searched the menu and ordered with the waitress. "I'm so glad you said yes, I was shitting myself about asking it, but now I have I feel on cloud 9" Mason said, grinning at me, "I'm just so glad how everything has planned out, if you'd asked me a month ago if this would've happened it would've been a definite no go" I said with a slight laugh and smile. We are our food and payed the bill, before heading back to the car and beginning the journey to Masons house.
We arrived at Masons house and placed our bags by the door. We decided to order takeout and have a chilled movie night on the sofa, we ordered thai food and began watching the movie. Half way through I'd fallen asleep on masons chest, with him beginning to go to sleep as well. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door that had woken us up fully. Mason went to the door and answered it, shocked to find who was standing at the door, this late at night.
Romies heart dropped, she froze with a single tear falling down her face. "Hi, can I help you?" Mason asked the middle aged man, who just stared at Romie blankly. Mason turned to look at Romie who was still frozen, "Am I missing something her?" Romie broke out of her daze and replied, "Mason meet the man we made my childhood hell" with more tears forming in her eyes. "Romie..." Tony said before being cut off, "why are you here? Don't you think you caused enough damage over the last 18 years of my life?" She asked irritated, "I never meant to hurt you the way I did, I was never my intention. Your, your mother she and me were never going to work, I had to leave and make a life for myself a better one, once I did I planned on coming back for you, but I was to late" Tony said with a genuine tone. "Some how I find that hard to believe, with all the money and assets you have, it would of been easy to locate me, never would it of took 18 years, Tony" she said coldly, "I deserve that" "yeah you really do, you wanna know what I think?" She said, Tony looked at his daughter "I think you left because you were selfish and thought we would of held you back, so you left and became rich with a new family, leaving us all behind to make YOUR life happier" she said with anger in her tone. Mason stood silent, and shocked. "I never intended to make you feel this way, but I'm here now and I'm willing to make up for all the time lost" Romie scoffed at Tony's word, "little to late don't you think?" there was a long pause before Mason broke out "I think it's best you leave" Tony looked up and nodded in agreement, "if you change your mind here's my card, I would really like to get to make it up to you Roma, no pressure" he gave a soft smile before walking away. Romie burst into tears, she had not heard her father call her that or even his voice in 18 years. Mason closed the door and held Romie in his arms, consoling her after the surprise she'd just over took.
