Once myself and Jake got back to the hotel, we were shocked to be greeted by everyone, who were waiting and patiently wanting to know my answer to Jakes proposal. Jake waited a few seconds to save their anticipation before shouting out, "she said yes!" Everyone was so happy for us and my mom came running over and bundled me into a hug, followed by my dad embracing Jake into a hug also, and then followed by hugging me and whispering, "I'm so happy for you sweetheart" with tearful eyes. Jack then came over and shouted "my baby sisters getting hitched!" And everyone screamed in response. All of a sudden a brunette duo entered the room, unknowing to what was going on. Mason and Dec looked at each other and then questioned, "what's going on?" Everyone's eye's averted to Mason and most people sensed a feeling of guilt that the boy was going to be feeling hopeless and even more lost than he already was. The first to speak up was Jack, "Romie and Jake are getting married" he said with a smirk, as he disliked his sisters ex ever since he lied about being with Chloe. Masons facial expression changed and he stuttered "I-I uhhh I gotta go" he said before leaving the room as fast as he could. Romie felt a sudden wave of sadness and took it upon herself to comfort the boy, "I'll go" she said before following after a distressed Mason.
Masons POV- I walked down a hallway, and abruptly stop, taking my anger out on the wall, I punched the wall multiple time and stop as I saw blood dripping from my knuckles. "FUCK!" I screamed out of frustration, and slid down the wall before breaking out sobs, "that could've been me" he whispered.
Romies POV- I go to the hallway to find an upset Mason sat against the wall. I slowly approached and took a seat next to him. After a few minutes of silence, I broke the ice "I'm sorry Mase" I said quietly, before he put his arm around my shoulder and pulled me into his chest, "no I'm sorry Romie, you deserve to be happy even if it's not with me" he said sadly. We sat there holding each other until it felt appropriate to let go. We rejoined the others and Mason approached Jake, he held out his hand, waiting for Jake to respond to the action. The two shook one another's hand and Mason brought himself to say "look after her yeah" Jake just nodded in response, Mason give me one last smile and left the room once again.
The rest of the night was a blur, all I knew was everyone had a lot to drink, myself and Jake got back to the room and fell asleep after a while.
- The next day -
Tomorrow was going to be the last day of our holiday, and also the last day I could spend with my family and friends together for a while, as we all had busy lives and time taking jobs. We all met for breakfast, by all i meant my family, Perrie and her family and Reece.

"Here they are, soon to be Mr and Mrs Riley!" Jack announced and greeted us, myself and Jake looked at one another and laugh lightly. We all took a seat, mine next to Perrie and Jake, with Reece on the opposite side of the table by Jack. "You and him okay?" I said quietly to Perrie, she shook her head and motioned for me to leave the table with her. We excused ourselves using the usual need to go to the ladies room. We walked over to the sofa area and sat down next to each other, she whipped out a phone, that at first I assumed was hers but after seeing the Lock Screen of the Chelsea team I knew it wasn't. She looked up at me and I nodded in response as she unlocked the phone, pulling up messages between Reece and girl by the name of Meghan, she passed me the phone and I scrolled through the messages, most of them was him telling her to meet him at certain hotels in London. I looked at my best friend, who now had teary eyes and pulled her into a big hug, "it's gonna be okay, your gonna be okay" I said to her as an attempt of soothing her. She looked up at me "thank you for always being there! I'm so grateful that I get to call you my bestfriend" she said genuinely, I smiled at her, now also with teary eyes before we re-embraced.
The blonde and brunette die walked back out hand in hand before separating, with one walking towards Reece, "hey bab-" he attempted to say before being cut off by Perrie pouring a glass of water over his head. Everyone sat there in disbelief, except from Romie of course, who was now smirking, and thinking about how proud she was. Perrie began to walk away, before stopping and turning a heel and looking a raging Reece in the eye one last time, "oh yeah forgot to say, we're over! Enjoy your fun with Meghan, I'm sure it won't last long" she said with a wink before walking out. Reece was embarrassed and sighed angrily, this made Romie burst out laughing and manage to be able to say one thing to the two timing bastard, "watch your back James!" to follow she walked out, loving how much of a badass her bestfriend just was.
Romie and Jake had decided to sit down and talk about whether or not they're gonna announce not only just their relationship but also their engagement. The pair decided to announce this to their followers on Instagram after a long hard think of the pros and cons of this action. However, they both felt the want to share this moment of love with their family, friends and of course the mixers.
