Chapter 14 - What do you think I am? A fool?

I got into my apartment, Silver was sat on the sofa with a smile "hey Roms! Come sit with m-" she was saying before I rushed upstairs, locking my bedroom door behind me. I slid down my door and broke down into tears, Silver was knocking the door and trying to get me to let her in but I wasn't having any of it. After about an hour of trying she decided to give me some space. I got into bed and ended up crying myself to sleep.

— The Next Day —

I was woken to my alarm going off. Today I had an interview with my band mates, I can't say I was excited and to be honest I just wanted to stay in bed all day. I was emotionally drained after yesterday and was feeling to good in myself. I couldn't get Mason out of my mind, he really hurt me but after all that I still found myself with feelings for him, I blocked his number after finding out the truth, it was difficult but in the long run it was the right thing to do. I got up and washed my mascara and tear rubbed face and applied moisturiser as well as other skin products. I had a quick shower and waved my hair slightly with my curling wand. I then changed and headed to my garage to go to Capital radio studio. Before going there I picked Perrie and Leigh-Anne up, with also a quick stop at Costa.

Little did I know that images of myself and Mason were taken by paps and posted on the 'Sun', reporting that me and Mason had an affair, and that I had also supposedly moved on from Brad that night at the club.

We arrived at Capital and met with Jade and Jesy. After finishing our drinks, we started the interview. "Hi guys, we are here with Little Mix today. After they're announcement of a new album in the works, how's that going for you girls?" He asked with a smile, "it's going really well. We are still working on a few songs but yeah" I responded returning his energy with a smile, of course I was trying to forget about everything else and just focus on work, it's what I usually do, keep my emotions bottled up. We answered a few more questions until "so Romie...what's going on with your little triangle? Mason Mount and Chloe Weallean-Watts?" Asked Amanda, huh how did they know? Oh shit we must of been seen in London together. I thought about what to say for a second before Jesy made sure I was okay with this "you don't have to answer this if you don't want to" I nodded "no no it's okay" I replied give Amanda a warm smile "there isn't much to really tell, yes something happened between me and Mason but I honestly had no clue he was with someone else. I was clueless up until yesterday" I said before losing myself to flashbacks of recent events. The interview had ended after a few more questions and we all decided to get some lunch together. We ended up going to Nando's.

We were greeted by staff who found us a table after a short wait. We sat down and started to order off the app, shortly after we'd ordered we went to get drinks, then all of a sudden I noticed a brunette boy walk in to the restaurant. My heart sank as I saw Mason with Dec, Reece and Phil, not long after he caught my eye, with paralysing his face, I broke eye contact and headed back to the table.

Masons POV-
There she was. Romie Roberts, the woman who had my heart, I saw and guilt over took me. We shared eye contact for a few seconds but she shortly after broke it, that's when I realised even more so, that I had utterly fucked up. Reece later saw the girls and motioned for the waiter to place us near them. We were sat on the table next to them, I could tell this made Romie uncomfortable. Reece greeted Perrie with a kiss on the cheek and Romie with a hug. I just wanted to go over there and take all the pain away, just to hold her in my arms or even be given the chance to explain and apologise to her, the last thing I wanted to happen was for her to hurt by most of all me. The only person to blame was myself. Jesy and Jade kept eye balling me, with Leigh-Anne just rolling her eyes and giving me dirty looks occasionally. Perrie on the other hand didn't even look at me. Shortly after all of our food arrived and we ate.  After Romie had finished her food, her phone rang she left the table and headed outside to take the call, about 3 minutes later I excused myself to go to the bathroom, like hell I was. I went outside to find Romie who had just finished her phone call. "Can we talk?" I asked, not sure what her reply would be or if there was going to be a reply at all, "I don't really know what there is to say Mason. You lied..." she said not looking at me once, "please just hear me out" she nodded and we took a seat on a bench. "I'm really sorry that I lied to you. I never intentionally wanted to upset or hurt you" I said genuinely, she just nodded, "Me and Chloe we had been in a really toxic relationship for around 8 months. I really wanted to get out of it as she was becoming quite controlling. She kept on and on about how she couldn't and wouldn't live without me, that's when I realise I didn't love her anymore" she sat there just listening and hearing me out like she'd agreed, "and then I met you" I smile slightly, while being reminded of seeing Romie for the first time, "I immediately had feelings for you and couldn't stop how fast these feelings were growing" I looked at her to see tears falling from her eyes, this honestly broke my heart, and knowing I'm the reason she's crying hurts even more. "Romie I've fallen in love with you!" I declared "and I'm so sorry that I lied but I really wanna make it up to you if you'd give me the chance too" I said giving her a light smile.
