Chapter 40 - Fresh Starts and New Journeys

The next morning I woke up at 9:30.a.m, I rolled out of bed and jumped straight in the shower. I threw on a white crop top and grey joggers before heading downstairs to find my dad cooking...a lot of food. "Finally your awake!" He sighed, "morning to you to dad" I laughed, "what's all this about?" I asked as I took a seat on one of the breakfast stools, "the family are all coming over for brunch, we can announce our move to Monaco to then" he replied with a smile, "okay, I'll go get ready then. You need any help Ramsey?" I laughed, "very funny" he said with a grin. I ran upstairs and turned my curler on ready to begin my hair. After I'd finished my hair, I applied a light amount of makeup before putting on a navy dress matched with nude heels.

Romies Outfit and hair-

I walked downstairs, and began helping my dad prepare the table and also placing the food in the middle, "wow you really are another Gordon Ramsey" I giggled. Just then the doorbell rang, Jasmine and my Gran on the other side of the door, I quickly opened the door, "surprise!" They shouted and I pulled them both into a tight embrace. Soon enough everyone had arrived, and we all took a place at the big table in the garden. My father sat at the top end of the table, me next to him and Jasmine the other side of me. Jack was sat across from me with a confused expression on his face, "what is all this about?" He questioned, "well since you asked, myself and your sister have some news to share" everyone looked at us even more confused and now curious, "I've been offered a job in Monaco, and have decided to take it. And my daughter Romie has chosen to come along with me!" Everyone gasped, I looked at my older brother infront of me, who wouldn't dare to look at me, I frowned. Just then he got up from the table, "excuse me" he said before walking out, I abruptly got up from my seat "I'll go" I announced and follow Jack outside. "Jack! Jack slow down" I shouted, "maybe you should use your own advice Romie! Your moving away so fast how about you just slow the fuck down!" He shouted now turning to face me, "I can't stay here, I need to start fresh! I can't move on knowing there will always be temptation to go back to him just by seeing him again! I can't let myself go back to someone like him!" I said as tears formed in my eyes. He walked towards me and pulled me into his embrace, "If this is what you have to do, I understand but I'm really gonna miss you roms, like so much that it scares me" he said now upset as well, "you think I'm not afraid since I won't have my big brother only a drive away. Just because I'm going to a different country doesn't mean we can't be there or see one another, we will always be there to help the other or to be their shoulder to cry on no matter how far we are, that doesn't stop" I told him, he nodded, "I love you roms", I smiled "I love you too Jack".

We re-entered the house, and everyone looked at us. Jack walked over to dad and the two men hugged before walking off to talk to one another, "Monaco huh?" Jas asked, I nodded "I think it'll be good for me" I replied, "I do too, you deserve to be happy Roma, and if moving away will do that then so be it, no matter how people react, you have to do what's best for you" she said as she pulled me in for a sisterly hug. Shortly after, everyone had left except Gran and Jas, we were all cleaning up the mess, myself and Gran washing the dishes as everyone else cleaned up out the garden, "I'm proud of you Roma, I may not say it enough but I am" she smiled, "thank you Gran" I returned the gesture, "I'm glad your finally doing what's right for you and not everyone else, I really hope a fresh start brings you all the happiness and love you deserve my darling cause you of all people deserve happiness and love" she announced, I hugged my Gran and she returned the hug and rubbed my back gently.
