Romies POV- There was a knock on the door of my apartment, I walked to door and opened it to find the person I have missed for many years. I stood there speechless from a while, both of us with tears streaming down our faces. I took a deep breath and decided to break the ice, "mama-" I managed to break out before sobs absorbed me, she quickly pulled my small body into her not so bigger self, wrapping me into the hugs I'd missed most. Never did I once blame her for everything that had happened, she was hurting and negativity over took her turning her into something so most definitely despised. I knew Jack also blamed our father more than her. After our father left she turned into a different person, she didn't know what to do so she took the road she never wanted to follow. Her marriage had just ended because the man she loved didn't think what he had was good enough and also that he was having an affair with another woman, mama was always insecure of herself when there was not a thing to be shamed of. I always saw her as the most beautiful person I'd ever seen, I adored her and so did my other siblings. After dad left, Jack took it upon himself to look after all of us as the man of the house and Jasmine was also helping out as much as she could as the oldest daughter, but mama still found herself lost. That's when she decided the only way to numb the pain was drink away, which later led to her starting to take cocaine. She used to come home late at night, sometimes alone but others time with a random man. I remember Jack coming into my bedroom and just holding me as tight as he possibly could in his arms whilst we both cried. I hated the person my mother became and it was all because of him, the man that abandoned us all. However, seeing her now reminded me of the person she was all those years ago when we were a happy little family. She looked like the woman I loved and adored once again. We broke away from the embrace and I invited her in. "Would you like anything to drink? Tea, coffee, water?" I asked politely, "just a glass of water please" she smiled. I poured her a glass of water and made my way to the couch, before taking a place next to her. "I'm so glad I finally found you. I've been looking for years and now I'm finally here with you after all this time" she said happily with tears beginning to fall "I'm so sorry for everything my precious girl. I let you down and I'd understand if you could never forgive me because i will never forgive myself. I put you all through hell and if I could take it back, I would in a heartbeat" she said sadly, "I forgive you mom. This may sound weird but I never blamed you for what happened, just wish things could of been different, but I know that I forgave you a long time ago" I smiled with her returning a smile as well, "what did I do to deserve you huh? I'm so proud of what you've accomplished in life Roma! You are so talented and strong, you are my best creation in life and I want you to never forget that" she said as she took my hand, I smiled at her words, "you seem to have done good for yourself to mama!" I said "well that's with the help of my partner, Blake" she smiled at the sound of his name but then regained composure "I need to tell you something Roma, but I don't want you to freak out" I nodded at her words agreeing to keep calm at what she was about to tell me, "you have 2 little sisters. Emile who is 8 years old and Rosalyn who is 4. They are dying to meet their older sister whom I don't shut up about" she announced, I was shocked but in a good way. I had two younger sisters, who I was now dying you meet. "Wow, I was not expecting that but this is amazing mom! I'd love to meet them, but i also have some news to tell you" I said and received a suspicious look from my mother, "I'm getting married!" I announced whilst showing her my hand where the diamond ring shined on. She gasped and pulled me into a tight squeeze "this is amazing Roma I'm so happy for you darling!" She squealed. We spent the rest of the night chatting away and arranging for me to meet my sisters and for her to meet Jake. I couldn't wait to meet the little girls who already thought so highly of me and me of them.
