I walked out of my changing room with the other four from Shiratorizawa. We overheard Yaku and Semi talking. Yaku was getting an attitude with Semi, who was defending my two best friends.
And I had enough. "Don't say that to Semi."
The five boys in the booth turned to face me, their eyes wide. It must've shocked them to see that I looked mad, something that I rarely even felt.
Yaku opened his mouth. "Why? It's the truth."
"It's rude. And I'd appreciate it if you didn't speak to my partner that way." Partner in the sense of music.
Semi smiled at that. He reached for my hand, signaling for me to sit. I grabbed his hand and sat beside him, giving him a soft smile before turning back to Yaku.
"Well?" I gave a cold glare, causing Lev, Tetsu, and Kenken to get up from the table.
Yaku tensed under my gaze. "Y/n."
"Yaku. Apologize to Semi for what you said, and how you said it."
Yaku nodded, clearly intimidated by my sudden attitude change. "S-sorry for that."
Semi nodded. "It's fine. But you have an attitude problem to get checked."
Yaku glared at him.
I nudged Semi. "Don't start. And Yaku, don't say or do anything to piss me off any further. I don't like getting angry, so let's try to keep from doing anything that'll get a negative reaction from me. Ok?"
Yaku looked at me, nodding quickly. "Yes. Understood."
"Good." I got up, turning my back to the guys. "If anyone causes trouble, I won't stop my brother from getting the problem out." I warned before walking off to the kitchen.
B/n turned to look at me. "What's up?"
"Yaku and Lev are here. Yaku started causing trouble with Semi. I got mad. You can probably guess what happened."
He smiled. "Aww. My baby sis is standing up for her partner. And it's a good thing you came in here. Make some sweets!"
I grinned. "Bet."
Semi pov:
Everyone situated themselves into the booth. The Nekoma guys sat on one side, my teammates on the other. I sat on the end, Kenma to my left and Shirabu to my right.
Author-chan cutting in here!
So the seating goes as follows:
On one side sat (in this order) Tendou, Ushijima, Goshiki, Shirabu.
Semi was at the end, not on either of the booth's two sides.
Across from Shirabu was Kenma, then Kuroo sat beside Kenma. Next to Kuroo was Lev, Yaku on Lev's other side.
So basically, Yaku sat across from Tendou, Lev and Ushijima sat across from each other, Kuroo and Goshiki were across from each other, and of course I made it clear that the two second year setters were sitting across from each other.
Hope that gave you good visuals!
Bye bye!
There was a thick tension left in the air once Y/n left. No one spoke up. I mean, none of seemed sure how to start a civilized conversation gaming ourselves. The topic would decide the mood of the conversation.
I assumed we should avoid talking about Y/n, even though she was what I really wanted to talk about.
"Yo, be friends and start talking civilly." B/n came out of nowhere.
I'm starting to assume that's a common thing for their family. I turned to my boss with a smile. "Hey, boss."
He smiled back. "Y/n gave me a quick rundown of what happened. I must say, I'm kinda surprised. How can ya piss her off?"
I chuckled. "Speaking of Y/n... where is she?"
He smirked, wiggling his eyebrows. "Oh? Showing interest in my baby sis?"
I blushed. "That's not-"
He laughed, waving a hand dismissively. "She's baking in the kitchen. Since you work here, you're also allowed in. Just uh, don't do anything with her you wouldn't want me seeing." He winked, gesturing for me to go into the kitchen.
I took the hint and went over to see her. When I entered to the kitchen, I saw her with her hair pulled back, the first time I've seen her with her hair fully out of her face.
I walked over to her, greeting her with a smile. "Hey, Y/n."
Your pov:
I jumped, turning to see Semi. "B/n is teaching how to be a part of our family!"
He chuckled. "Sorry. He actually told me to come in here."
"Huh?"
"Well, he actually said 'She's baking in the kitchen. Since you work here, you're also allowed in. Just uh, don't do anything with her you wouldn't want me seeing.' Then he gave me a wink and dismissed me from the table."
I shook my head. "Sometimes he's an overprotective big brother, other times he decides to be a match-maker. Never an in-between."
Semi smiled more. "Yeah. He's a great boss though, very relaxed."
"Oh, lucky you. You've never had the 'privilege' of being his younger sibling. He's so strict with me."
I was kinda surprised with myself, I can actually talk normally with Semi now. Then again, it was just the two of us currently in the kitchen.
He laughed. "It's tough love."
I giggled. "Must be. Hey, wanna help bake?"
He shrugged. "Sure. I've baked before with my mom. I'll apologize if I suck at it."
I raised a brow at him. "What's with you thinking you're terrible at everything? I bet you'll make some really good sweets! And I'll be the first to try it!"
We looked at each other and laughed.
He was the first to stop, coming closer to talk to me. "And you're always encouraging me."
I shrugged. "That's just my personality, I guess. I don't like it when people believe they can't do better, then are unable to improve because they won't change their thought process. You should always believe in yourself. Once you had that confidence, we were able to put on a great performance."
He nodded. "Yeah. The guys, including your brother, were complimenting it so much while you were still in your changing room."
I took a deep breath. I needed the courage to say it. "Semi, you sounded amazing when you were singing. I was just... mesmerized by it, I guess." My heart was beating so fast.
Semi's eyes widened. "Th-thanks, Y/n. P-personally, I like your voice much more." He turned away from him, his face a medium pink.
I turned my attention back to my baking. "Thanks. Instead of taking turns singing, why don't we sing together every weekend? During the week we can do solo songs since you won't be getting here till after your practice. And while you perform, I'm gonna help out here in the kitchen."
"Sounds good to me. But uh, shouldn't we start writing the duet songs together?"
"Let's make plans for when we get back to campus. Maybe during the week we should start writing songs together."
"Yeah. Sounds like a plan."
