"Where's Eita?"

I looked at the guys from the volleyball team that showed up. But my boyfriend was currently not at our workplace.

"Well, he had some extra work with some of his teachers today. And...." Shirabu eyed me. "Since when did you call him by first name?"

I diverted my eyes to the wall. "He asked me to yesterday. So, how long is he gonna take?"

"Dunno. He might not be able to come here tonight. What's the big deal? Aren't your duets on the weekends?"

I nodded, slightly disappointed that Eita might not show up. "Yeah, but in our free time when neither of us are doing anything, we wanted to rehearse them."

"Sorry, Y/n." Ushijima spoke. "He's been getting pretty busy with balancing school, volleyball, and work."

"He was busy before." Tendou added. "Now it seems like it's almost too much."

I felt my chest tighten. If he's overworking himself, he could get hurt or sick. And if the problem is working here, he might not be able to keep his job. He might not be able to sing with me anymore. These thoughts caused me to worry.

"Well, thanks for telling me. I'll be going to get ready for my next performance." I walked away, feeling down. I plopped down on the couch and sighed.

I really wanted Eita to be there. It's upsetting that he was unable to come due to having schoolwork on a Friday night. I got ready for my performance, still bummed out.

My brother walked in, getting concerned when he saw my downcast face. "What's wrong, Y/n?"

"Eita might come here tonight." I laid my head on the table.

"Did my baby sis wanna spend some time with her partner?"

"Yes." Zero hesitation.

His eyes widened by my quick, honest response. "Wow. You like him that much?"

I nodded. "I wrote a new song for him. But I don't wanna.... I can't sing it if he's not here to listen to it."

My brother walked up and rubbed my back gently. "Don't be so down. He'll try to make it the moment he gets the time for it. In the meantime, just sing all your other songs. Don't sing that one until he gets here. Ok?"

I nodded. "Ok. I'll hold off on singing it until he gets here."

I was approaching the end of my performance, the last song, and Eita still hadn't shown up. My eyes scanned the entire audience, but didn't find the one person I had been searching for. It looked like I was gonna be unable to sing that song for him.

Then, as if by a miracle, just as I was getting ready to get up and leave the stage, Eita walked into the cafe. He immediately made eye contact with me, smiling.

I smiled, then began playing the song for him.

Semi pov:

I couldn't believe I had taken so long with my teachers. I had to run to the cafe, feeling bad that I couldn't get there earlier to see Y/n. The moment I reached the cafe, I walked in and locked eyes with my beautiful girlfriend, who just happened to be onstage. I smiled and her and she smiled back.

As she began playing another song, I sat down with the guys, still breathing fairly heavily. "I made it."

"And just in time too." B/n greeted me with a smile. "She's on her last song now." He pointed to the stage and she began singing, as if on cue.
