Cas sent Dean back in time to when Mary made a deal with Yellow-Eyes in order to save John. After Dean got back, not being able to change his mother's mind, he realized Sam was not at the motel. Cas gave him Sam's location so Dean woke the girls up and made them get in the car before driving off.

Dean saw Sam exorcise a demon and found out that he's working with Ruby. He got to the motel later, Sam already there, telling the girls to stay in the car while he went in to pack. They were able to hear some of the shouting, but didn't make out the words. About ten minutes later, both Sam and Dean exited with their bags.

It's currently nighttime and the girls are asleep while Dean drives and tells Sam about their mom.

"I can't believe it. Mom, a hunter?" Sam asks.

"I wouldn't have believed it either if I hadn't seen it myself. That woman could kick some ass. I mean, she almost took me down." Dean says.

"How'd she look? I mean... was she happy?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, she was awesome. Funny and smart. So hopeful." Dean says. "Dad, too. Until of course..." Sam sighs. "What?"

"Nothing." Sam says and they stay in silence for a bit. "It's just, our parents. And now we find out our grandparents, too? Our whole family murdered and for what? So Yellow-Eyes could get in my nursery and bleed in my mouth?"

"Sam, I never said anything about demon blood." Dean says. "You knew about that?"

"Yeah. For about a year." Sam says.

"A whole year?" Dean asks.

"I should have told you." Sam says.

"Unbelievable." Dean mutters.

"Libby has it, too." Sam states.

"Yeah, because he gave it to her." Dean says.

"No. She already had it in her. She has my blood, so she has some. And then he fed her when he kidnapped her." Sam informs. "I'm sorry."

"You've been saying that a lot lately, Sam. But whatever. You don't want to tell me, you don't have to. It's fine." Dean says.

"Dean." Sam tries, looking over to see his brother focused on the road. "Whatever." He sighs.

They get to their motel and Dean carefully puts Ophelia on his back, hooking his arms under her knees to hold her up.

"Get your own kid." Dean says.

"I... I don't think she's gonna want me to hold her, Dean." Sam says.

"She's asleep. If she wakes up and wants down, put her down. Holding two asleep children is not easy, Sam." Dean says.

Sam sighs and gently picks Libby up, quietly shutting the door. He feels her tense up and move around a little, but after a few moments, she relaxes, her cheek squished against his shoulder.

Sam and Dean go inside and Dean unlocks the door to their motel room, flipping the light on, to find Travis at the table.

"Travis." Sam quietly notes.

"See, Sam. Told you we should have hid the beer." Dean jokes.

"Smartass. Get over here." Travis hugs Dean, making sure to avoid Ophelia. Sam goes over to one of the beds and lays Libby down, tucking her in. He gently kisses her on the head before going back over to Dean and Travis.

"Good to see you." Travis says, hugging Sam.

"You too, Travis." Sam says.

"Man, you got tall, kid." Travis tells Sam, them both laughing.
