Ch 27 Understanding Darkness

The next day a young devil by the name of Diodora Astaroth came by the school and asked for Asia's hand. Issei was pissed but everyone else stayed calm. Asia rejected his proposal and he left not happy. Nick on the other hand was looking out for any signs of trouble and he found one. Nick summoned Rias and he and her went into an abandoned factory. Rias said, "so what are we looking for?" Nick said, "I could sense a dark presence and I wanted you and me to investigate it."

Rias said, "why just you and me? We could defeat them will all of us." Nick said, "These people are not like us they are something else." Then a laugh came from the end of the building and then a man appeared and said, "yes we are something else perhaps a nobody best conveys the idea." Rias said, "what does that mean?" The man said, "we walk the path of neither the light nor the dark but the twilight between." Nick said, "what does your organization want?" Then another man appeared, and he didn't have his hood up and had red spikey hair. 

The man said "hello." The other man said, "what do you want?" The other said "no hogging the hero." The hooded man said, "then perhaps you would like to test him?" The man disappeared and the spikey haired man said, "my show now darkness dragon. Who am I my name is Axel got it memorized?" Nick said, "yes I do." Axel said, "good you're a quick learner now that we are getting to know each other better." he stretched out his hands and flames appeared and two Chakrams appeared. Axel said, "don't you go off and die on me now."

Axel threw his chakrams at Rias and Nick used his dragon arm to block the attack and then Axel charged at Nick and threw his other chakram at Nick, but it missed. Both of his chakrams somehow got back in his hands. Nick said, "so you control the element of fire but does your fire burn as much as mine." Nick shot a fire ball at Axel, and he shot one right back and they both canceled each other out. Nick said, "this is not possible my flame has never been stopped before." Axel said, "this is just a taste of our powers, and we will have you join us one way or another."

Axel said, "before we part ways, I will give you some advice. Our organization will stop at nothing to obtain you and we know very well how to achieve our goals." Axel then used a portal and disappeared. Rias said, "so what is the plan that we take them down?" Nick said, "this isn't your fight. They want me so that is what I'm going to do. I am going to report this to other great powers leaders. Now you have a rating game coming up so train and be ready for anything."

Rias left and Nick looked around and said to himself, "how is this possible? My powers are always growing it would seem that I have been full of myself and relied too much on my powers. But there is something the first one said that gets be thinking. We walk the path of neither the light nor the dark but the twilight between. That makes no sense if they use a portal of darkness, but he also said that they are nobodies which I don't understand but for now it is best to tell the other leader this information."

Nick summoned all the leaders so Azazel, Sirzech, and Michael all were at the meeting that Nick had asked of them. Nick said "I have two things that I would like to address. Firstly, there is a traitor in the young devils, and I have a good idea of who it is based on the fact that he made a deal with a fallen angel." Azazel said, "this is the first that I'm hearing of this." Nick said, "Asia healed a devil at one point and she was kicked out of the church for doing so and the devil thought that she was his type."

Michael said, "so the devil wanted Asia and he used a method that I had never thought of to get her from the church." Nick said "yes and now what he trying to do is get her to join his peerage, but Rias will never allow this. The young devil in question is Diodora Astaroth." Sirzech said "why haven't you eliminated him yet?" Nick said "that would be all too easy. What my plan is to use Diodora to draw out the other members of the old satin faction and eliminate them. That way the old satin faction is splintered and can't help the Khaos brigade." 

Michael said, "I will give you aid to beat back this evil." Azazel said, "same here." Sirzech said " I will help as well." Nick said "and secondly there is a group of people that have powerful ability's and I just fought one and he was very strong, and I want to give you guys a heads up on them, but I don't know if that are with the Khaos brigade or just a group on its own. But the true goal is to have me join and lead this group which I have no intention of joining."

Azazel said, "what is their plan once you join?" Nick said "most likely I will be taking over the world and the underworld and we destroy everything we touch. But I will deal with them. I don't want anyone else to get hurt for me. This is my fight, and I will deal with them." Azazel laughed and said, "Nick, I know you well enough to know that you like to work by yourself, but we all want to see the new world that we create, and we can't do it without you so let us help." Nick smiled and knew that he wouldn't have to fight alone.
