Ch 12 Helping Kiba

The weekend went by and Issei was waking up to both Asia and Rias in his bed. He tried to get up but Rias and Asia had a good grip on him. Then his alarm went off and both sleeping girls awoke and they got ready for school. They got out of the house and Nick was waiting for them. They walked to school and when they got to class a rumor going around saying that Kiba was not in class today. Nick knew that maybe this had something to do with the holy swords in town.

Issei didn't think much of it and after school the two boys got up and went to the ORC. They found that Kiba hadn't shown up to class and that worried Rias. Rias said "at this time Kiba is still apart of my family but we need to find him before anyone else does." Nick said "if you don't mind I would like to have Koneko and Issei come with me to search for him if that would be ok with you?" Rias said "that is fine just make sure that you bring him back ok." Nick nodded and both Koneko and Issei followed him out.

Nick said "ok we are not going to be looking for Kiba we need more help to find the swords so that Kiba can gain sum release from this pain he is in. So how about he ask Saji from the student council to help look." Koneko said "why do we need more people if we do it our self we could get the job done faster and not take up time?" Nick said "he has a power that I would like to see and he could become useful in a situation that calls for his power."

So the went to Saji and Nick talked and said "Saji we need you to help us?" Saji said "why should I help you?" Nick said "I understand that you are wanting to prove yourself to Sona and if you help us I can give you credit on this mission of ours. I also can teach you a little about your power of your if you want help. Also I can guarantee that if he get blow back by your master I will make sure you are not punished." Saji said "ok so what is this plan of yours?"

Nick said "we are going to find the two church girls looking for the sword and we will join forces with them." Saji said "why would we ever help the church at this time?" Nick said "we can cover more ground and see where this fallen angel is that has the sword at the moment. I want us all to be on the same page and help Kiba in his time of need." Saji said "how will we find the two girls they are not going to be walking on the streets and all." Minutes later they found the two girls begging on the street.

So they paid for the two girl's meals and Nick spent a lot of money but it meant nothing to him because he has a lot of money. After the girls ate they had realized that they hap made a deal with devils. Xenovia said "so now that we are in a contract what is it that you want?" Issei said "we want to help you destroy the Excalibur's that are missing." Irina said "why do you want to destroy them?" Koneko said "it seems that Kiba will not rest or return to us until that happens."

Nick said "so we will help you then when the swords are destroyed then we can go our separate ways." Both girls agreed but Saji still wanted out but Nick told him to be calm because he would protect them from anything. They then tracked down Kiba and told him that they were planning and he had agreed to go along with this plan. So the night came and Nick said that the two girls should search one part of the city and they would look in another part of the city. So the search was on and Koneko was given a phone to call they girls if needed.

Nick could feel a source of power coming from the building that they had killed a stray devil a while ago. Nick said be on guard I sense that maybe an Excalibur is near by." Saji said "how do you know this?" Nick said "I trained my sense to the point that I could sense things a few miles away." Saji was impressed by Nick and thought that he could help him gain power to help Sona. They approached and then Freed appeared and attacked Nick.

Nick looked up and caught the sword with one and smiled. Nick said "you really think that a surprise attack on me would do anything." Freed said "well shit we have a powerful person here. No matter I will chop you up and I will have my revenge from last time we met." Kiba then charged in and attacked him Koneko was throwing stone at Freed and Issei was boosting up. Nick said "Issei boost up enough for you to make a transfer of power to Kiba like you did in the rating game ok."

Issei said "I'm on it." Saji said "what can I do?" Nick said "summon your sacred gear. After that I want to concentrate on your power and use the absorption line to catch Freed and slow him down." So Saji focused and he summoned his sacred gear. He then was able to launch a line and it got Freed. Issei then had powered up enough to transfer. Koneko picked Issei up and threw him to Kiba and Kiba and Issei touched and he transfer the ability to Kiba. Kiba then said "I have been given this power by a close friend and I will not let it go to waste Sword Birth." 

Freed was trying to get the line that Saji had made then swords began to attack him and he tried to destroy them before they got to him. Then Irina and Xenovia had appeared and Issei was wondering why they were here. Then Koneko held up the phone and they got their answer. Then a man stepped out of the building and said "well Freed look at all the people that have gathered to try to stop us." Freed said "good more people means more playtime with my sword. Good timing Valper it time to show what Excalibur is able to do."

Valper said "if you truly want to use the sword then put all your energy into the sword." Freed did that cut the cord of Saji's line. Then Valper said "well I think that is enough for today Freed lets retreat and we will see you all again very soon." Freed went to Valper's side and used a light bomb to disappear and Xenovia, Irina, and Kiba left. Then Rias, Akeno, Sona, and Tsubaki had appeared. All three devils were on the ground bowing and saying that they were sorry for what they had done. 

Both Sona and Rias looked at Nick and said "why did you do this Nick?" Nick said "Kiba is my friend and I know that if he continued this path that it would only lead to his destruction. I was not going to let my friend suffer anymore than he already had because of that holy sword project. I know that by asking Koneko, Issei, and Saji to help me was a risk but seeing Kiba go rough and become a stray devil I was not about to let that happen. Sona do you understand that Saji was about to use a new ability to attach his sacred gear to an enemy and slow him down."

Sona looked at Saji and was happy to see her servant have a new ability. Nick said "Rias Koneko showed that even if we had the numbers she still used her wits to call for reinforcements. Issei showed that his boosted gear had come a long way from when he started so don't punish them for my short comings. Rias said "fine I will not punish them because they had both shown new sides of them." Sona said "very well I will overlook this but I will not be as forgiving."

Nick left them and Nick felt something and he used his sense of smell to detect a fallen angel had come to the battle for this city was about to begin. Nick then walked to the harbor and saw a man with black hair fishing at this time of night. Next to him was a young man with silver hair. Nick said "I would have never guest that you would be here at this time. I also see that you have another dragon working with you." The old man said "it has been to long and I can see that your abilities are still as good as ever."

Nick laughed and said "you are to kind. But I want to know if your friend is acting on your orders or did you go rouge?" The old man said "he went rouge. I don't want another war. So when you face him you have my permission to show him the face of despair if you would like. I will send my young friend here to pick him up and he will be punished by me but you could do far worse." Nick said "hearing that makes it work for me so I will take my leave." 

The old man said "so long an have fun with him." The young man said "how you know one another?" The old man said "he was one that caused the war to nearly end by what he did." The young man said "what did he do that would cause the war to end and why did you not try to stop him?" The old man said "that story is for another time because the pieces are moving and I want to return to the quiet life and see that this war ends."
