Ch 6 The Power of the Dragon

The ORC packed their bags and they went to a place where they would train for ten days. Nick was the game changer but they needed to chip away so that Nick could do him thing. So the first day they trained about how to control their power and Nick was impressed by Koneko, Kiba, and Akeno. Issei still needed work and Asia was no fighter so she would be useless under normal fights. Nick then said that the Issei's boosted gear had a power in it called dragon shot and if he boosted the gear enough then he could do a lot of damage.

So Issei boosted his gear until he reached ten times. Nick stood in front of him and said to release the power and attack him so that he could see how powerful he was. Issei released the power and it hit Nick. Nick was pushed back about 20 feet and Nick was impressed by this and Nick said that he was the linchpin of this game. He needed to boost his gear and protect himself so he could last in the game longer then how he lasted in that fight at the ORC.

Nick took Kiba and trained with him. While Nick was fighting Kiba Nick could sense a power in him that he could use if Issei could develop more. After the first day Issei was passed out and everyone was feeling good about this. Nick said that Koneko should at the start of the rating game to have her with Issei so he could use his power as well as Koneko's strength would help Issei gain confidence. The next day Rias agreed that Issei would be in good hand if Koneko and Issei were together.

Nick went over the game plan and explained that Kiba, Koneko, and Akeno need to beat down Riser's pieces. If they are defeated then Nick would beat them up when he is given that chance. Everyone seemed think that Nick is a power that is stronger than that of the house of Phoenix. The day ended and Issei was still practicing and Nick was watching in secret and then Issei used his boosted gear to do something unexpected. Issei had Asia come and he used his new skill on her and Nick knew that his new ability could turn the tide of this battle.  

The next morning Issei was talking about his new ability. Rias was interested in this and wanted Issei to demonstrate his new ability to the rest of the group. Issei had Asia be apart of the demonstration and Issei boosted his gear to a point where he touched her and then he set something on her and then he napped his boosted gear fingers. Then Asia's cloths were blown off and Rias was interested in this new ability that he had just developed. Nick then decided that he wanted to fight Koneko, Kiba, and Akeno so he could see how well they fight together.

So the battle was set and Nick wanted to see them working together. Nick said come and fight him. So Kiba summoned a sword and attacked and Nick blocked the attack with his hand Koneko charged and hit Nick in the arm. Nick felt nothing and began to use his attacking methods. He summoned a black flame from his hand and threw it at Kiba. Kiba used his sword to block it but the sword broke and knocked Kiba back and he hit a wall. Akeno then used her power of thunder and shot it at Nick. 

Nick used his hand to block the thunder bolt and he did it with little effort. Then Koneko appeared and punched Nick right in the gut and Nick didn't even flinch. He then punched Koneko and she was sent flying. Kiba then used his ability to summon swords around Nick and Nick broke the swords like they were tooth picks. Akeno used ice magic and tried to freeze and Nick used his dark flame to negate Akeno's magic. This went on for 15 minutes and after the time was up Nick stopped them because he now knew how they are at fighting a powerful enemy together.

Nick was showing them that when they fight Riser that they need to use all their power because he is a powerful foe. Nick then said that the only way to beat Riser is to have him use his power and his stamina and then he could be defeated. The gang then took a break Nick then took Issei to the side and told him that he was going to have to beat Riser for the group. Issei was shocked by Nick's talk but he needed to go all out on Riser or Rias would be miserable for the rest of her life.

As the night took over Issei was walking around and saw Rias sitting in a chair out into the moonlight. Issei said "Rias what are you doing up so late?" Rias said "I'm studying different tactics on how to beat Riser." Issei said "cool but why study at night and all?" Rias said "I like to read when the moon is out. I want to be a normal girl and be treated as someone who see's me as Rias and not the next leader of the Gremory family."

Issei said "I see you as Rias because I want to see your dream come true along with my own. I will fight and I will beat anyone who will stand in my way of both of our dreams." Rias smiled and said "isn't your dream to have a harem am I correct?" Issei said "yes but I will fight for your dream as if it was my own because you saved me and I can't thank you enough for giving me a second chance at life." Rias smiled and said "I think it is time to sleep because tomorrow is the rating game so rest up Issei."

They went to bed and the next day Grayfia was wait for them and set the rules to the group. Everyone was fired up and want to get this battle on the way. Nick said that he could defend anyone but his can't attack until the Rook, Knight, and Queen have been retired. Issei didn't fully understand that but he knew that he would get his chance against Riser. The Rating game would take place in a duplicate version of Kuoh high school. So they gave Rias' team an advantage over Riser but the battle is about to begin.
