"Y/n, I can't believe you're finally here." My half brother Colby got off his horse running and twirling me around in circles in the air. Once he sits me back on my feet I wrap my arms around his neck smiling after not getting to see him years. We have been sending texts back and forth since he started working for the Dutton's and I finally had a free weekend to come see my brother. The sound of horse hooves comes up to us and I eyed the rider. He wears a black cowboy, has brown eyes and black hair with a stern look on his face. "I'm sorry ma'am but we don't just let anyone on this ranch you see. So I'm gonna have to ask you to leave." The man spoke but Colby tells him with a smile. "It's okay Rip. She's my half sister, Y/n."

Rip fumbled with his hat when he registered you were his sister. He slightly felt stupid for not thinking you were related in the first place. His eyes locked onto yours and he felt his heart skip a beat. Yes you were beautiful that was obvious to him. But there was something else about you that drew him in. "Forgive me ma'am...how about I give you a tour of the ranch?" He asked and I nod yes knowing my brother has to go back to work. He holds out an open hand helping me climb on his horse sitting behind him. Neither of us knew that from that day on we would become something more. Where my brothers boss would become the man I fall in love with.

Weeks had passed and Rip thought today was the day he wanted to call you his girlfriend. Rip entered the barn seeing Colby getting ready to ride his horse until I called out to him. "Can I ask you something....would you be mad if I asked out your sister?" He turned to Rip smiling and leaning his back on the wall. "Yeah man it's fine. I'm her brother but she's the one to make that decision." Rip tipped his hat running off to find you sitting on the wooden fencing. "Y/n!" Rip called out to me making me turn my head seeing him. "Hey Rip, what's up?" He stepped up taking my hand in his. He rubbed the back of his neck clearly nervous. "I need to ask you something."

"When I met you I never thought I'd fall for you so fast but I did. I'm going to admit that I love you. That I want to call you mine. And be the one that gets to earn your heart." He explained to me squeezing my hand in his with a smile. "So will you be my girlfriend. Can I be the man that wins your heart?" Without thinking I jumped off the fence throwing my arms around his neck. Rip stumbled backwards a little to hold me up where his cowboy hat fell off when I kiss him. He kisses back until I break it mumbling in between kisses. "Yes, I love you too Rip Wheeler."
