"Summer I don't care what you say. Alright, I'm not a child anymore. If I want to date him then I will." I raised my voice at my sister seeing that we were having another fight over the current guy I was dating. Kayce, the son of the famous rancher John Dutton and I had met the day my sister was arrested for throwing a rock at him. I had been on the scene seeing that I was a new livestock agent he had hired. I didn't agree with the way my sister fought for animals rights so I abandoned her and joined the agency. "His whole family is slotering animals and eating them to make a living. That is just cruel Y/n. I don't understand what you see in him!" She shouted at me before I turned on my feet slamming the front door in her face getting in my truck driving to the Dutton ranch. Tonight Kayce and I had a date night that wasn't supposed to be for another hour but I just needed to see him and not be around my sister right now.

Running up the porch I wrapped my brown jacket around myself knocking on the front door until it opened revealing my boyfriend who gives me a confused smile on his face. "Y/n, this is a suprise. What are you doing here. Our date ain't for another hour?" Flinging my arms around his neck he stumbled backwards a little bit catching my body. Burying my face in his chest he gently pulled me against his chest running one hand through my hair until I lifted my head up. "Sorry Kayce. I know I'm early I just couldn't be around my sister anymore tonight. I hope this ain't too forward but can i spend the night here?" We had only be dating for about two months or now. We had been going out to bars but for the most part we would spend our date nights on his family ranch. He cradles my face in his right hand leaving his other resting on my hip tugging me inside the house shutting the front door behind me. "Absolutely you can stay here. My dad won't mind at all. Come on let's get settled."

He tugs me into the living room where I gasped grinning back up at him seeing that he had set up a tiny camp type thing in front of the burning fireplace. He had some pillows and blankets laid down inside a blanket that was being stood up with a piece of wood from somewhere. Rushing forward I tugged him down where he accidentally landed on top of me where he suddenly kissed me slowly. "Do you like the set up. I was planning on doing this actually outside. But there's supposed to be a storm later tonight." Wrapping my arms around his neck I kissed him back where I rolled him onto his back not breaking the kiss until we needed air. He held his head up with his elbow moving hair away from my eyes seeing that something was still bothering me. "It's perfect, Kayce...I really needed this. You make everything better. You have a certain charm about you, cowboy." Kayce leaned forward kissing my forehead where I layed my head on his chest where we just watched the fire burning with us laying down on the pillows. "I'm sorry you're sister is making you're life frustrating. Don't worry I'll always be here for you."
