Where the hell have I seen that face.. F/n thought.
~
"F/n! You have to be more careful while playing in this hallway!" F/n's grandfather lectured, pulling a framed photo out of her hand. The glass protecting the contains inside was shattered, luckily the portrait was alright."I-I'm sorry! I'll be more careful next time!" F/n apologized and bowed. Her body shaking as tears fell from here eyes onto the wooden floor.
"Oh, F/n. It's alright.." Her grandfather cooed as he pat her head. He took another glance at the photo with a sad sigh.
"It wouldn't have mattered if you tore this portrait anyways.." he mumbled. F/n looked up at him confused, "what do you mean..?"
He gave her a warm smile and grabbed her hand, leading her to the kitchen table.
"You see this man?" He asked, pointing to the man in the photo. He was posing with what seemed to be his wife and two kids.
"This is your great great Grandfather, Michikatsu Tsugikuni."
F/n smiled widely, "He's so pretty! I wish I could've met him!"
Her grandfather slammed the portrait onto the table and put his hand to his forehead with a distressed sigh.
"You never would've been able to anyways, he abandoned this family." Her grandfather deadpanned.
F/n's smile slowly faded, "why..?"
"At first it was to join the demon slayers, along with his brother Yoriichi. But then he turned himself into a demon and cursed our family with these features." Her grandfather said, pointing to his hair, then his eyes.
Just then her grandmother entered the room, "It doesn't look like a curse, I think it looks beautiful dear."
"It reminds us of Michikatsus sin." Her grandfather argued. "But doesn't it also give you strength?" Her grandmother said, kissing him on the cheek.
"Ew! Grandma! Blegh!" F/n gaged, covering her eyes and turning her face away.
Her grandmother just laughed, "I'm sure you'll find someone you'll want to kiss all over one day" She cooed.
"Tenou.." Her grandfather murmured, shoving Tenou with his elbow lightly. "Oh she'll be fine, it's about time she finds a boy she likes."
~That's not Michikatsu..but it looks so similar..
"Oi, does that doll have a name?" F/n asked the little boy, who was visibly startled by the sudden question.
"Oh- the doll? Yoriichi Tsugikuni."
"Why does it have six arms?" Tanjiro asked.
"This doll is modeled after a real swords man. They made it with six arms because two wasn't enough to replicate his movements." The boy explained.
Tanjiro and F/n stared in awe, "he must've been really strong!" Tanjiro yelled.
They all continued to watch Muichiro as he effortlessly defended himself against the doll.
"He's just as old as we are but he's so talented!" Tanjiro awed with a big smile.
"Well of course he is! That boys a descendant of the sun breathers!" A voice called from behind them.
The trio spun around and faced a Kasugai crow, Muichiros Kasugai crow. "He's amazing, completely different from you!" The crow continued.
"Why doesn't he use sun breaths?" Tanjiro asked genuinely. The crow cawed and seemed to be offended, pouncing at Tanjiro and pecking at his cheek.
"Stop that!" F/n growled, swatting away the crow. It looked up at F/n, staring at her for a moment before it flew up and landed on her shoulder.
"You have a different aura to you! Almost the same as Muichiro, could it be possible you're a descendant too..?!" The crow cawed in an excited manner.
Tanjiro looked at her with disbelief.
"My great grandfather was Michikatsu Tsugikuni." F/n said as she pat the crow with her index finger.
"So now we have two people that are descendants from the sun breathers?" The boy asked.
F/n shrugged with a nod, "I guess so."
The boy started jumping around excitedly, "that's so cool! I'm Kotetsu! What's your name!" He asked, grabbing F/n's hand.
"I'm F/n L/n, and that's Tanjiro Kamado" F/n replied, pointing over to Tanjiro.
Their moment was cut short when a loud crash sounded throughout the forest. They all spun around and saw as Muichiro had landed a blow on the doll, tearing parts of it off even.
F/n felt the boy tremble as he ran to the nearest tree and scurried up it, taking off his mask and wiping his face.
Tanjiro climbed up after him, hanging on a branch beside him. Tanjiro flicked him in the mouth and the two seemed to be talking. F/n could hear the slight mumbles but her eyes were still locked on the pillar fighting the doll.
Once he finished, he tore a sword off of the doll and walked off in their direction, not giving them any sort of attention and passing them.
"You're done already?" Tanjiro and Kotetsu asked in unison, F/n didn't even realize they got down from the tree somehow.
"Yeah it was great training..now who are- oh, right. I broke my sword so I'll be taking this one." He said flatly, holding up a sword with one of dolls arms still attached to it.
Kotetsu ran off in the direction of the doll. He stood helplessly in front of the now mangled doll as it started pouring rain.
Tanjiro walked over to him, putting his hand on his shoulder. F/n smiled at his efforts to comfort him. They propped the doll back on its feet, it wasn't moving and seemed to be broken.
That didn't last long.
The doll suddenly started swinging its arms and Tanjiro jumped for joy.
"Train now, Tanjiro-Kun! Become stronger than that shitty indifferent jerk! You too F/n!"
