F/n wandered for hours in the forest, she was looking for the tallest mountain in the area. There was apparently an old swords man who lived at the bottom of the mountain. He'd train those who he deemed worthy of his teachings.

Her legs were finally feeling like they used to, she tried to use some breathings styles as well, which went better than she expected.

She would rest in the tree tops, eating small portions of food she grabbed before leaving. Of course she felt bad about it, but she felt that this was what she needed.

At the end of day six of being in that forest, she finally found the swordsman's home. She walked up to it slowly, reaching up her hand to knock.

Before she could do so, the door slid open. Revealing the old man, he had multiple scars on his face and looked like he hadn't smiled in years.

"Who are you and what do you want." He growled.

F/n bowed, "Master Kukuyomi, please train me."

He tilted his head, "That seemed like more a demand than a request. What makes you think you're worthy of my teachings." He asked, tapping his foot impatiently.

"I'm not sure if I'm worthy, but I'm willing to find out." F/n admitted, showing no hesitation.

Kukuyomi chuckled, "even if you were worthy, I don't train girls. You're wasting your time kid." He said, waving F/n off.

She felt her blood boil, "What does it matter if I'm a girl, a good swordsman is a good swordsman, no matter the gender." F/n scowled.

"You told you that you were a good swordsman?" He asked irritatedly.

"I've fought along side the Hashira, and I've fought against two upper moons." F/n said, hoping it would change his mind.

He took in a deep breath, "Leave." He said, turning to walk back into his house.

F/n wasn't going to take no for an answer, "Fight me." She proposed, immediately regretting saying that.

This perked his interest,  "Very well, be prepared to lose then." He said, grabbing a katana.

F/n drew her sword, taking in a deep breath to focus herself. Ever since her legs started to heal, she felt like they were stronger than before.

The man pounced at F/n, causing her to go on the defensive. "Let's see how good you really are..!" He muttered, going for her legs now.

She jumped up, flipped the man over her and sending him into a tree. He used the tree as a launch pad to fly right back at F/n.

F/n deflected his attacks, throwing some of her own at him as well. He jumped around from tree to tree, using his speed and agility to move quicker than a blink.

Once he finally came out of hiding, he had his blade going straight for F/n. She felt his presence behind her, so she ducked, causing him to miss and stumbled to his feet.

She used this as the perfect opportunity to get the upper hand. She threw him down and got on top of him, using her pure strength to hold him down. She put her blade to his neck with a tiny grin.

He took notice at her peculiar sword color, where had he seen it before? He now glanced at her hilt, then it hit him.

"Where did you- get that..hilt!" He struggled to say, being pinned down and all.

F/n eased up, getting off of him and sitting next to him. "It was my grandfathers.." F/n said, looking at the hilt.

Kukuyomi chuckled, "I knew you looked familiar..." he said.

F/n tilted her head, "you knew my grandfather..?" She asked.

"Yes, we were in the corps together." He said standing up, "I will train you, F/n."

Tanjiro had been in a slump for the past week, he couldn't wrap his head around why F/n had left without even saying goodbye.

"Tanjiro...we're all sad about it, but you can't give up on your training.." Zenitsu said, trying to sound sympathetic.

It was true, the disappearance of F/n had everyone on edge, they all missed her. They all asked the same question, why did she go? What possessed her to run away?

"Let's go, we need to do something, we can't just sit around all day." Insouke said, standing up and running outside.

Tanjiro got up too, but slowly. It felt like part of him was missing, and he hated it. He wondered what he could've done to make F/n stay.

But he knew that we wouldn't have been able to do anything anyways, F/n was stubborn, and when she put her mind to something, she got it done.
