10:27 am
I was sitting on the couch upstairs, holding Austin up so he could jump up and down. Julia was on my side sitting down at watching tv. My iPod buzzed and I looked down as Mason texted me. I sat Austin down in my lap and picked up my iPod.
"Hey Cassy:)" Mason has said.
"Hey:)" I reply.
"Do you mind if I come a bit early? I'm just really eager to see you:)"
I think for a moment,
"Jules?" I say looking over at her.
"Yeah?"
"Can Mason come a little early and hangout here for a bit?"
"Yeah I don't care. I thought you guys were staying here the whole time anyway" she says laughing.
I smiled and texted Mason.
"Yeah that's fine, if you want we can just hangout here for the day:)"
And once again, almost an instant response.
"Okay will do:) I'm on my way. I can't wait to see your gorgeous face:)"
I blushed and answered.
"Okay:) can't wait. See you soon handsome:)"
Then Austin started bouncing in my lap. I smiled and put down my iPod. I picked him up and stood up. I held him facing toward me sitting on my hipbone.
"Hey Jules?" I ask.
"Yeah?" She replies, keeping her eyes glued on the television screen.
"Does your dad have yours and Charlotte's old things from when you were babies?"
"Mhm..in the back room downstairs" she says, aimlessly pointing to the stairs, still not looking at me.
"Thanks" I say and I can hear a mumbled "you're welcome."
I walked down the stairs and across Julia's room to a door. I opened the door and it was really dark. I looked up and saw a lightbulb hanging from the ceiling with a chain hanging beside it. I reach up and grab the chain which turns on the lightbulb. I wince as the light is very bright. Then I start looking around. The room is a fair size and is filled with various cradles, playpens, highchairs and things. The only problem was that they were all pink. Which I expected. But Julia does have an older brother. He is way older than us, but he choses not to see Julia's dad. So I kept looking and surprisingly found a blue playpen. I smiled, grabbed it and threw it out of the room. Then I climbed out and turned off the light.
I grabbed the playpen and brought it upstairs."Where'd you get that?" Julia snapped at me as I reached the top of the stairs.
"The back room? Where all of yours and Charlotte's old baby stuff is?" I replied.
"Well..." She paused, "just..make sure you put it away before my dad gets home. He doesn't really like to be reminded of his only son that refuses to see him." Julia said and returned her attention to the television.
"Alright" I say and put up the play pen. I grab a blanket from the couch, fold it and place it in the bottom of the playpen. I put Austin inside it and then sit back down. Julia turns to around and pulls the curtain back from in front of the window.
"Oh lookie lookie there's your boyfriend" Julia says with a smirk.
I turn to look out the window. I can see his gorgeous matte black Camaro and the door on the drivers side open...
