12:56 p.m.
Mason insists that I stay at the doors to the theatre as he goes up and talks to a young man who works here. I watch as they talk and then fist bump. Then Mason walks over to me with a wide, sparkling grin.
"Well m'lady, shall we?" He says grabbing ahold of my hand.
"Yeah I guess, but where's our tickets? And who was that guy? And--"
Mason cuts me off mid-sentence.
"Shush. I've got it covered. I know people here." He says, pulling me along with him as we walk toward the entrance to the theatres.
"I see that." I answer.
As we approach the usher, Mason simply winks at him and he gestures for us to go ahead.
"Mason." I plead, anxiously wanting to know what's going on.
He brushed me off and then pulls me into a theatre marked as theatre 7.
"Seven? That's my favourite number!" I point out.
"I know." He says as if expecting it.
Confused, I follow him and then I realize the entire theatre is empty.
"Pick your spot." He says.
"The movie is suppose to start in two minutes! Where is everyone?" I say confused, flashing my vision back and forth between Mason and the empty theatre.
He places a hand on my lower back and then he lightly pushes me forward. I pick a spot, smack-dab in the middle of the theatre. Mason plops down beside me and then pulls out a CocaCola, a bag of Sour Patch Kids and a pack of Jolly Ranchers out of nowhere.
"Oh my god they're all my favourites!" I say, grinning.
"I know." He says, placing them on my lap and kissing my temple.
I bite my lip and then turn my attention to the screen as it lights up and the lights die down. There is no previews, which is odd.
"Mason there's no previews." I say and he shushes me.
I look back up and the screen that lights up with a purple background, my favourite colour. Then white words appear that read.
'To my dearest Cassidy.'
"Mason..?" I ask, looking over at him.
"Did you plan all of this?" I ask.
He smiles, nods and then gestures for me to watch the screen. I watch as it fades to a sea blue and then the beginning of 'Finding Nemo' starts playing. Yes. It's my favourite movie. Also yes. I started crying.
