"Jordan!" I stopped on track to get into my car when my mom called me. She was standing by the door carrying something that was covered with aluminum foil.
I waited for her to continue. Hindi ko na siya hinanap para magpaalam na aalis. We said our goodbyes last night dahil dapat ay kagabi pa ako umuwi sa condo unit ko. Kinatamaran ko lang so I slept over my parents house. One of the few times whenever I visits home for the weekend.
"Hindi ka ba mali-late kung idadaan mo ito kina tita Myrna mo?"
Puwede akong ma-late, time has no bearing kung wala naman akong importanteng meeting. "Okay lang, ano ba 'yan?" I walked back to her.
"'Yong na bake kong lasagna kagabi. Kanya talaga itong isang salang na'to kaya lang hindi siya nakapunta. Sumakit daw ang tuhod niya."
I rolled my eyes while getting the rectangular Pyrex from her hand. "Ang bata n'yo pa."
Natawa si mommy. "Hintayin mo 'yong lalagyan, huhugasan niya daw para maibalik niya sayo iuwi mo na lang ulit pagbalik mo next weekend."
"Okay." I just nodded and walked back to my car.

"Thank you so much! Naabala ka pa talaga ng mommy mo," sabi ni tita habang kinukuha sa kamay ko ang pyrex na may lasagna. "Pasok ka muna. Isasalin ko ito at huhugasan ang lalagyan para madala mo na."
